'LIGHTNING [NL;4706524']I've been using my arrow keys in combination with my mouse to control my tank turret since 2.0. I haven't ever noticed a change.

Wilhelm was talking about driving the tank with the WASD keys and controling the turret rotation with the arrow keys. This used to be possible but sadly this was removed at one point from the game (game engine reasons I believe?). :(

The arrow keys give a much better simulation of moving the turret with seperate crankwheels (or electric controls) for rotating the copula and ajusting the angle of the barrel. Though ofcourse mouse aim probably would have to be disabled since it's "easier" to control the barrel (for instance to move diagnology which would give mouse users an unfair advantage).

Dzanic;4279961 2.] The realism level is a bit too high which makes FH2 less fun. Planes are too difficult to fly for example and you could say that you are forced by the game to buy a joystick for better piloting which is clearly negative. It is far too difficult to land a plane and working instruments are a must for so much realism. It happens too often that you stall without noticing it. Either introduce working instruments or reduce the realism of planes to a more fun level.

I dont think Planes are hard to pilot, maybe you need more pratice.. ;)

Works for me.

Really? It used to work for me but it no longer does. Perhaps if I set custom controls but with default controls it doesn't work... :(

It was perfectly possible, but it had one issue: you wound't be able to map the arrow keys unless you messed with the config file. This was a problem for people like me, who use the arrows to move the tanks instead of WASD. If you still want it to work with arrows -> turret, you'll have to mess with the config file yourself

I'd wish you could control the tank turret with a joystick, especially for FH2 and Project Reality especially, would be nice.

Yea, that was the reason it was taken out by default.

I wasn't aware that you could still set it up that way.

Its a shame they had to remove it. Although it was rather suicidal to use it online because others had advantage for using mouse but in SP it was loads of fun.

Yeppp that is true. It has become more fun the more I practised with planes but I am still a bit worried about the behaviour. If you try a combat sim and compare to Fh2 you will be in a different world. If you realease the bombs the planes still behaves the same they havent become easier to fly. And the Stuka can climb like an F-17! I am now going to adress more technical and annoying issues that may not have much to do with FH2. 1. Autoswitch should give you the possibility to choose team in the beginning of a battle and afterward forbid to switch to any other team so that friends can play in the same team. 2. You should recommend to servers to dissable Punkbuster. It has caused more trouble than solved problems and according to Wikipedia kicked more innocent people than cheaters. Gameexperience gets also a better quality when PB is dissabled. Punkbuster is one of the decades worst programes ever invented. It is not capable of updating itself requiring precious time and also know-how from the player. I assume that servers wihtout PB will have 10% to 20% more people playing on them.

And remember that bf2 was created for jets, so it's hrd to properly code propeller plane. [quote=Dzanic;4710502]2. You should recommend to servers to dissable Punkbuster. Yea, it kicks many innocent players, but it still kicks/bans cheaters too, without it there would be 10% to 20% more cheaters.
