Yeah one of the "Yes" commands sounds like OKAY to me.
It might just be me hearing them wrong But are the Italian commands mixed up? I guess I should have gone to check on SP just to test before I wrote this but too late...
Everytime I hear the Infantry one I hear "artilleria" and the Tank one sounds Like you are mentioning spotting Infantry. Might Just be a clarity issue I guess?
SawTier;4735767They said OKAY in FH1/BF1942 too. I think i heard it in FH2 too?
Actually, now that I think about it some more, I believe there is an OKAY command for the Germans in BF1942.
Yesterday we fought a tournament in temperate areas, and I have to warn you allready that planes will have it a hell of a lot harder to spot enemy tanks that are standing still near bushes, tall grass or forest. It was nearly impossible to spot any tank and I am allready warning you that you need to introduce some kind of spotter or forward air controller wich has the ability to keep enemy ground units marked as spotted on the map for considerable longer time than regular binoculars. Also it would be helpfull if some kind of colored smokemarker would be deployed. And the forward air controller should get cooperation point just like the artillery observer.
I think colored smoke is deployed by squad leaders via map markers, e.g. defend gives off purple smoke, attack gives off yellow, maybe if the smoke plume for these battlefield markers was a little bigger they may be of more use to you in crowded or overgrown areas. (?)
Keeping targets 'lit up' for any longer would be counter productive imo, they already appear on the minimap for long enough, I can understand that infantry moving about in the Africa theatre trying to engage tanks in an open expanse is foolhardy and suicide especially when you loose sight of the tank(s) in question, but hopefully as the war grinds on we'll see the balance of cover and terrain vs. play - and once again infantry will be able to engage and take on those annoying tankers who (quite rightly so) stay to the rear of the line providing the largest arch of fire they can... The inability to quickly take on these threats by infantry is a slight annoyance but only because in those moments we play FH2 like a game, remember in RL the real soldier would simply sit and wait without moving for hours, or days, ... or just make a tactical retreat.
About commander artillery: Remove the Vehicle drop button and make the supply drop button only available on some maps and have the artillery more selective. Maybe the buttons hould be like this: 1. Supply Drop (Limited) 2. Artillery with Smoke (or Flare) 3. Artillery with HE (last shorter but has higher splash damage) 4. Mortar with HE (lasts longer but has lower splash damage or what you call it) That would be my suggestion. And of course as said.. all batteries should fire slower than they do now and maybe sound more like beeeu-booom when they are incomming rather than this modern sound from BF2.
