A German tank crewman would have to be crazy to wear the black uniform in North Africa. Best leave it for Europe. ;)

Meadow;4738588Er... surely only the tanker kit would spawn with the Black uniform on Alam Halfa? My basic knowledge of code in BF2 tells me you can make an individual kit (unlike in BF1942) spawn with not only specialised kit equipment but also specific 'base models' all of their own - see the Italian/German co-operative maps for evidence of this.

Hrm, is this true? I hadn't noticed, then again, maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

But, if that is so, then I would put full support behind a german tanker uniform for the continent :D

Each kit can spawn a different uniform.

Too bad we can't choose what one we wanna use...damn bf2, which begs to question...why in gods name did they remove the uniform choosing from BF Vietnam?

Still they did, so if it's gonna be implemeted, it should be so in Africa as well.

Um, no, they stopped wearing them as soon as they got their tropical uniforms after arriving in afrika in 41, and after that, they were issued them before even arriving. The only part they would keep was sometimes the black side cap. Otherwise, the only way of telling they were tankers was the skull pin on their lapels under the normal collar litzen.

Well, i see no reason for full-new DAK panzer uniform. 5341f541d831cbed8a16865dc7b4b269.jpg b658d5c3bc6b74f9e08521aecf641fb9.jpg

As you can see, only different color of shoulder boards mount and added panzer skulls. We can't add panzer skulls - this detail looks like SS skull, and SS skull is banned. So, as i said, no reason for new uniform.

Only in few countries... like Germany. I have no idea why they ban their own history (inglorious one, but still history)...

OK, I based my post on pictures I have seen of German tankofficers in black uniforms in Africa. Maybe they were taken immediately after arrival, then? How long was the period between first Germans in Africa and the arrival of the tropical uniforms?
