actually a way to get rid of bunny hopping is to make the crosshairs go really far apart. As soon as you stand still they will come together.

Theres no way a soldier can fire and jump and be accurate all the same time. DoD had a nice little feature that when you jumped, the crosshair would dissappear. If this is possible, that would be perfect. Moses

If it could be done, you could do it like CoD:

You can jump once and suffer no penalties, but if you try and jump again, and again, your speed decreases to the point where you are hopping in practically one spot.

That seemed to work really, really well.

Komrad_BIf the rifle would kill with only 1 shot there would be less problem.. I have seen a guy bunny hop to me, i hit him with my rifle (he don't die, of course), then he starts shooting like a moron and kill me.. This kind of thing happens WAY too often, but I don't think its because the weapons are too powerful when jumping and running.. Anyway, n00bs and idiots will still bunny hop even if we would make the weapons to behave like trash when jumping (like shooting everywere except were you want, this is almost already the case). As for zig zagging.. this is necessary to survive...

I don't know WHAT people are talking about anymore. I rarely have to shoot twice to kill something with a rifle. All the sudden though its like the team halved their damage, according to the people on this board. They didn't. They just made arm and leg hits not instantly fatal and slightly decreased the pinpoint accuracy of the rifles. Both are good changes and haven't affected me in any way. Rifles WILL kill in one good hit. Its just like tanks, you can't hit it at a steep angle and expect full damage, the bad shot dosen't kill.

I don't really see a problem with this. Think about it...you're being shot at by an enemy that is hell bent on killing you. You get this sudden burst of adrenalin because of your body's primitive reaction to a threat of your existance. I thin it is quite realistic. Not useful IRL because good marksmen can most likely kill you anyways....but this is FH and there are limitations to games which makes things not perfect in aiming and shooting such as lag...hit problems etc. I say....deal with it because theres no ending the charrade that is bunnyhopping.

GeneralBergfruehlingIf its was really realistic, there would be no jump. Soldiers don't or if then rarely do jump. To get over obstacles they climb. One solution would be to disable shooting/reloading/CH when hitting the jump key and all those bunnys out there will be grounded again in a jiffy.

.... Second solution: if you don't like bunnyhopping and basecamping, don't do it. Consider those who do it n00bs. Except the server rules permit it. IMO bunnyhoppers aren't a great problem. If they want to behave foolish, let them :) ...

lol, if youve ever been paintballing or airsofting or something simmilar, youd know that bunnyhopping is in no way realistic. When you full of adrenaline and someone is trying to shoot you, you dont friggin jump up in the air! You get your head down and you use that adrenaline to run and weave (zig-zag). jumping makes you a huge ass target and it tires you out.

That being said, we cant really do anything about it. Realisitcly a soldier would only "jump" to get over an obstical (and even then, its not really jumping. its more like climbing over) But wouldnt you know it, the battlfeild engine isnt that flexible. We cant change the base infantry code. If we could, I would like a DoD/CS anti-hopping system, where you basicly stop after the second jump.

As widening the crosshairs or makeing the weapon unable to fire wouldnt really change anything. I dont know if you guys have noticed, but the crosshair ALREADY expands when you jump, and also, people rarely rarely fire thier weapon to kill someone when jumping. they bunny hop to avoid getting hit. thats all its for. Making you unable to shoot wouldnt do anything about it. theyd still hop around to make themselvs harder to hit (in reality it makes you the biggest target)

sorry, but there really isnt anything we can do.

Kill them, doc.

They are not a problem, they are usually killed and they look stupid when they are killed...if you must die at least die with style ;)

Doesn't really matter how hard or often you jump... you just make yourself a bigger, more noticeable target

Azik«¤»BlazeI don't think bunny hoppers are the problem in FH, it's more the zig-zagers. It's as if you're shooting at a table-hockey figure the way they move from side to side so quickly. It wouldn't be so bad if BF's hit-detection wasn't so damn pathetic.

Soldiers really did zig zag though, its the only way to get across open ground quickly in large numbers when theres machine gun nests.
