If only they could figure out a way to make the commander summon a glider like the UAV and be a mobile spawn for his team ;P

Too many problems: 1) Too much teamwork required for a glider assault than is commonly found on public servers 2) Glider is only as good as its pilot. (Imagine a round where the newb pilots kept putting the gliders into the trees, killing everyone) 3) Too open to abuse. No matter how carefully a map is designed, someone will figure out a way to land the glider in an inappropriate spot which totally disrupts the intended flow of the game. (Remember the Betty landings on Wake?)

That was an awesome map, although landing the gliders was not an easy task to do. ;)

Well it felt sort of realistic. I was always really praying for survival. Please, let us play some longer, I don't need to respawn yet!

that map in FH was Sector 318 that had the one spawnable glider. I downloaded a map pack made by a bunch of jokers called pixel fighters, they have a server on FH 42. One map was a glider map at night. All flags start german held, all across the map. Allies spawn in one corner, in one of 5 or 6 gliders suspended really really high in the air (cant see ground for 10 seconds while plummetting straight down), and once the pilot tapped W, they free fall, gain speed and you go for landing, etc. etc. The map wasnt too big but still quite easy for the ole' Waco.
