Having a joystick is excellent for doing many things, especially flying planes. It allows you to adjust the speed of your vehicle, as opposed to simply being restricted to fast, fully stopped, and reversed. True you can tap the keys a bit but it jerks you back and forth. Also, the vehicles are much easier to control.

I am getting a joystick soon. And Kurupt95 is their something wrong with using a peice of hardware that allows you to play the game easier? I think not.

I tried a joystick for a while for just flying, and it sucked. Or maybe it was just my joystick....that thing is oooold.

No shit, hehehe ;)

I would have liked though if it could be used to rotate tank turrets, and especially the slow def guns without having to pull my mouse over my desk 20 times.....

Going from mouse to joystick is a harsh transition. But once you get Joystick down pretty well it's completely superior to mouse flying. Just takes practice, lots of practice.

Also, I still dont use it for hellicopters in DC (or the Flettner). Mouse is better for that.

I find using the throttle bar for vehicle throttle is no good, because I have to take my hand off the mouse to change speed. I reccomend pedals for speed adjustments in ground vehicles (I have those too).

Orange/Declaime is about the best pilot in FH and he uses a mouse-keyboard combo, deadly accurate
