lukavsuffer? suffer what? do you guys actually stop and look at flags or something? most of the time when your in a tank your shooting at silhouettes and if it was on airplane itd have to be glowing bright neon green for you to really notice it hell i bet if they secretly added it you wouldnt even notice and would still be asking for it

Its for the atmosphear(sp) plus on the tails of planes they didnt care till they got the thing on cd dvd with that company until then (.5) they were in

It was a symbol for peace, not good luck in it's original form. It's original form was basically the same Swastika you see today but it was flipped vertically and rotated 45 degrees by Hitler and yes, it was a Buddhist symbol.

Well, being from Germany myself, I do know the origins of the law that forbids swastikas and the like. But it's not limited to symbols, it also forbids right-extreme song lyrics and books and all other sorts of "Volksverhetzung" - insurrection against ethnic groups, so to speak. There really isn't an English word for that.

I believe we are the only country that has this sort of law - and for good reason. It gives us measures to legally touch those Neo-Nazis that don't shout "Kill the Jews" but simply march around with their flags. Which doesn't make them any better, btw.

This paragraph dates from the Federal Republic's early years. The Founders of our state wanted to have some means of putting the 105%-Nazis behind bars, if necessary. Those Nazis who hadn't learned from the Denazification. And there were quite a lot of them around, unless I'm extremely mistaken.

Seen under that background, I think this law is useful. OK, it keeps me from legally buying Hitler's "Mein Kampf", but so what?

I'm sorry that FH is not allowed to publish the "swastika patch" because of this law, but well, that's business. If the patch included, say, tanks skins with naked women, it wouldn't be allowed in the US either or like only for ppl over 18.

So please guys, don't blame us for a useful idea. Better ask first instead of posting stuff like

Larry loveYeah so the rest of us get screwd

because some ppl from Germany - like me - might not find such statements funny. It's not like we wanted to have Nazis among us or the history we have.

I'd also prefer if we didn't have to have that paragraph. But as long as we've got some of those "Adolf was right" guys, we better keep that one. Even if it keeps you guys from shooting tanks with swastikas on it. Which you probably won't see anyway at typical FH tank combat ranges.

I dunno about Japanese signs - I was just referring to German signs. I don't know how things are like in Japan. But my feeling tells me actually, it should not be illegal in Germany. Way too many people just couldn't tell the difference, I guess. ;)

EDIT: removed link to picture.

Censoring the Japanese is good and bad, since it was partly wrong from the beginning. The vanilla flag (standard japanese flag) is the correct "land" flag but wasn't used on ships. In FH 0.5 Japanese only had the naval flag. Why they removed all the naval flags though is beyond me.

Too bad the Germans corrupted the symbol... Finland might still use it in their tanks and planes if the Germans hadn't made it politically unnacceptable.
