Wasnt there something about early Thompsons firing fast but they had problems with barrel wear or barrels overheating so later models had a lower rate of fire?

On another note, most of the thompsons should have a 20 round magazine, not 30.

Yes, the early m1928 thompson had a rof of 800. m1a1 had 700.
