(Well,I´m not the best title producers....just don´t mind with it.) One thing that FH is above BF1942 are the ships. In the old BF1942,when you blow a ship, the thing sunks like the Titanic. The front lean up,the back go down, then, everything was sleeping with Poseidon. The carriers was the same thing, but took more time to sink. The ships in FH,when you blast ´em,it just vanish!Like a normal jeep or tank that blows and after that, vanish. This time I must say that BF1942 won FH.FH owns BF1942 in everything. In this, you don´t.You should restore the old ship BF1942 and make the ships sink, and after completely under water, the ship vanish. I think the carriers n FH are normalk in this point, well, never had time to see one sinking. And it damage system may be changed. Somone have idea of how many bombs make the Yorktown return to its creator? No?Me not! I bomb,bomb,bomb,bomb...And it still strong, thank you! Maybe the dmage should be like that: A Lancaster of bombs(14 bombs or more) to sink or 8 torpedoes or 5 ohkas

I think sunken ship hulls should stay the whole game. A gigantic ship sunk in somewhat shallow water shouldnt vanish. Actually i think everything blown up or dead should stay regardless.

fact is that indeed it should stay but there are so many things that I think make it impossible, like the amount of ram one would need at the end of the game when the battlefield is littered with corpses and wrecks, or the collision attitude of all those corpses when you walk over(through?) them, it would create serious lag IMHO, and ships don't really sink verticaly all the time, it only happens under certain conditions, like with the titanic which flooded at the front first of all making the nose of the ship much havier than the rear end of the ship resulting in the vertical sinking stuff.

Mah,but still that, the ships have to sink. That carrier in BF2 is a vehicle or a static object?

Well...thanks,B... I was going to name "Deep Ship" but there is an user in GF with this name...

Sometimes ships will sink normaly, sometimes they'll disappear. I remember quite a few times in FH when I've raced towards the rear of the battleship, the water at my heels, trying to get to a landing craft. Then again, I remember quite a few times where I've had a destroyer just disappear out from under me as I'm heading towards the landing crafts. I don't know what makes it happen one way or another, but I've seen it happen both ways. In Desert Rose (may be getting my map names mixed up, the desert map where the Brits get a destroyer and a liberty ship) I watched the liberty ship sink in the shallow water right off of the German base and just sit there for about five minutes, with the deck underwater but the with the superstructure above water. It was a pretty cool effect, or would have been if it had actually come to rest instead of shaking around. Are there actual ship sinking animations, or does the game just turn the ships over to the mercy of the physics engine once they take enough damage?

The coolest ship sink I ever saw I don't think I'd ever be able to recreate. It happened a while ago...I don't even remember whether it was BF1942 or Forgotten Hope. It was a Battle for Europe tournament map, set in the Pacific, where the Japanese got a small island and the Americans get some ships, including a carrier. Towards the end of the map the carrier beached itself, but instead of sitting there it started tilting backwards and sloooowly slipped under the waves. Eventually it was at about a 70 degree angle with the stern underwater and the bow way up in the air. People were trying their best to catch themselves behind the carrier's tower or on ladders but every once in awhile someone would slip off and slide all the way down into the water, sometimes killing themselves as they hit part of the carrier on the way down. The carrier itself wasn't even that badly damaged, so I don't know what made it sink like that, but it was a really cool effect.

When i am on the battleship and it is damaged to the point where the alarm is going off i try to repair it (in vain i know cuz the wrench dose nothing) but then when i think the ship is going to be ok it disapperars right from undre my feet and i go falling into the water. I think it is funny when i see it happen to the other team and 4-5 people have their ship disapperar right from under their feet but it looks kind of corny.

that would be a good effect. I have never really focused on the naval maps.. Maybe time to do so! :)
