I used to have the BF1942 back in the day along with RTR but I sold it not too long after...I was looking at the FH mod the other night and thought it looked mad-sick-nasty...so I went on amazon and bought the 1942 anthology for 10 bucks...tell me though...from people who've played the mod...was it worth that 10 bucks i paid? To me it looked very cool with all the new weapons and vehicles and such...

my only concern is that it's for 1942...meaning that the graphics will be 2003/2004-ish...does that have any effect as well? And what about FH2? Are there plans to be making an improved one probably for BF2?

Yes, it's worth it. No, the graphics aren't 2003ish. Yes, the graphics aren't nearly as good as you'll get with FH2, but it does tear hell out of an old engine. Yes, FH2 is coming out, check http://fhmod.org for extensive screenies and video trailers and other crap. Yes, all the kiddies here are drooling over it, itching in their seats for it to finally fucking come out :-)

hehe, yeah, man, FH makes bf1942 pretty much worth the $10. Its like a whole different game, very much improved with great models, great maps, weapons, and new armies... still a whole bunch of people playing on the servers... FH2 will be for bf2, and it looks amazing. These guys do a great job with the game.

I'd pay $100 for FH. No joke. Ironically I assume FH1 will actually look better for me than FH2, considering the requirements of BF2. I can't even turn on lighting in BF2 because it's apparently not compatible with my card (BF2 hates ATI cards), and of course there's the troubling fact that the stupid vegetation appears out of nowhere ten feet from where you're standing. On my computer FH1 looks much better than BF2, and runs just as well too.

*EDIT*

My post went behind madcat's post which was actually made before mine... o.O

Buy it!!!!!! It will be worth every penny of your 10 bucks and besides FH1 needs new blood to fill up the servers.

bf1942 is to your games collection what "the longest day"(just an example between hundreds) is to your movie collection: a great classic that everyone should have :D
