[QUOTE=Kämpfer]Why is that you people complain about EA so much? Yet you still play a two-three year old game published by them.

Few, if any, people here play vanilla anymore, which is what EA published. People here play a modification that used the engine to create a very different game.

You might very well think that

KämpferWhy is that you people complain about EA so much? Yet you still play a two-three year old game published by them. What did EA do? The only complaints I have seen about Battlefield have to deal with DICE, not EA. I have yet to hear about the distribution of Battlefield, a category under EAs control. Correct me if I am wrong about something or misunderstand the role of a publisher but I personally see this as a good thing.

You must have been dealing with misinformed people. DICE Sweden (makers of BF1942 and RtR) wanted to make a very special WWII game with vehicle formations, mobile spawning, historically accurate weapons and vehicles, but EA hurried them and made it much more arcadey. DICE Sweden were heartbroken, and tried to make it up to the gaming community with the Road to Rome, but sadly EA messed this up too and and improvements were drowned in a lack of content. DICE Canada made SW and BF:V... 'nough said. In short: DICE Sweden: Nice guys DICE Canada: A bit dodgy EA: KILL KILL KILL

can you come with some documentation of the above? it might change my personal view of dice.se considerably. although by now they've probably adapted the EA-style completely.

Being Canadian myself i sometimes kind of take offense to ppl pissing on DICE Canada. Like it's implying that the Canadians did a shitty job. Remember EA's the one who was always holding the reigns on these projects.
