Well the title is self explenatory. I have a amd 2000 processor, 9800 pro and 756 of ram. How can i make a normal movie with fraps so it wont stutter or anything. What settings do i use, and what tehnics were used to create other movies of FH that are available to download.
Well, if your going to record a movie in 800x600 (which is pretty high quality) then I guess theres not much sense in playing with a higher setting than 800x600x32.
Other than that you probably want every setting maxed for best quality. But not sure if your Hardware can take it. Pentiums 4 with Hyperthreading are ideal for the job though.
is it a way u can start a recording in the console, then later open it thru the console and then fraps it? like in HL...
That way u wont get so much lag while u play.
Well - if you want to record a movie.
Do you want sound or not? Go for 16bit instead of 32bit Don't use AA or AF Free your disk and defrag Reboot before Turn off anything else running Check which resolution goes fine - the following are common: Playing 800x600 and recording halfsize (400x300) Playing 640x480 and record fullsize (640x480)
So much for now..
If you are gonne record you need a good GPU. If you record at 30 fps I *think* it takes 30 fps off your normal FPS. When recording I have noticed a sharp drop in my FPS, if you have like an X800 or 6800 you will barely notice it but if you have a mid range card you probobly will. When I get my X800 XL in march I shall be doing lots of recording:P The only bad thing about fraps is the 30 sec video limit.
