make sure you dont strafe while zoomed, because what I've noticed is the crosshairs still are in effect while aimed down the sight. If you do strafe, wait a second or two before shooting. I remember the bolt actions were the long range (even classified as such, in FH1), and the G43-ZF was close quarters marksman/designated marksman type. I imagine the G43-ZF shall be intense :P Must..kill..Mosin Nagants. Oh and deadmonkie :P Lag, server side hit detection (versus yours (you see blood)), and poor hit detection can make it difficult, but still do-able, especially if its possible to hit things on hslan with 190 ping :P

I was confused at first, trying to compensate the bullet drop and such. Didn't hit anything. But then I noticed there is none, was kind of a 'Doh!' moment. ;)

Deadmonkiefart;4405049I never do SP, but I tried it today... Woa, I can hit anything on single player! This isn't even challenging. Why can't it be this easy on multi player? I can hit moving targets on SP, when I can't hit still targets in multi player. Huge difference! Before, I would have rather used a pistol, now it actually works! I got loads of kills! Yes! I have a new theory: LAG is why I can't hit anything in multi player.

You know you can adjust the AI level don't you? And for an even bigger challenge, check out how you can jiggle the bot weapon values and other issues affecting bot performance: http://forums.filefront.com/forgotten-hope-general-discussion/364332-importance-single-player-4.html

The sniper rifle is a lot less accurate standing. Prone is a must if you're sniping people at ranges. I will sometimes stand inside buildings on operation hayacinth and snipe, but those aren't that far ranges. I take advantage of the sniper being faster to aim in with to gain an advantage over others.

Btw, I have to commend the FH team on the snipers. They're my favorite in any game. In all games, especially CS, I hate snipers to death. They're just point and click, kill. In FH, you actually need to know how to use to sniper to kill someone. So when I'm killed by a sniper in FH, I know it took skill to take me out.

Your ping is the biggest factor in being accurate during online play. When I create a server with bots I have no problem hitting them at distance and best of all I have no problem hitting them when up close. The lead required is consistant with distance firing. Unfortunately given the dearth of populated north american servers I find myself on hslan with a ping of 140-180, this makes a huge difference in the amount of lead required to get a hit and is compounded by whatever ping the person I am trying to hit is running with, in practice this makes accurate one shot shooting impossible and I constantly have to use 4-6 rounds to get a hit. It also has the horrible effect of almost forcing me to fire before I can even see people on close in maps like sfakia, I see someone come around a corner and fire, I see the hit indicator but then I'm dead because my ping is higher than theirs. Given the lack of NA servers and people with pings like mine on hslan I can only assume that FH2 is not very popular in North America, which is a shame. Theirs plenty of low ping servers in my server list, its just that they are all empty.
