Erm.. I just sold my house. So where did you say I should send that check to ? ;) I would pay around 10 for just the Africa and 40 for the whole lot. Q
NTH_NLErm.. I just sold my house.
I don' t have a house! Do you accept cheques? Yes, the name is Bill, Bill Gates, with the "s" at the end...
Lobo, I'm sending Tanya over right now in the Maranello. Normally she's $15k/night but this one's on the house. There's some blow in the glove compartment. Have fun and don't stay out too late.
-Fuzzy and the gang.
I'd pay for the same amount I'd pay for a regular video game. I see no difference really. There is ongoing support from the devs, continual updating - hell it's better than some!

You have no house! Men life on the streets must be hard for ya. Good thing they have internet though.
FuzzyBunnyNothing. Let me explain: I am not judging the "value" I place on FH. These are two different things, "how much is it worth" and "how much are you willing to pay for it."
It's value to me is pretty high as it's a great game, has a good community, and has given me hours of enjoyment.
However, I can say the same about the FreeBSD operating system, my girlfriend, etc. I would be willing to contribute to FH in whatever non-monetary way I can, such as my time, knowledge, effort, whatever, but as long as it's a nonprofit project run by a bunch of enthusiasts I think it's totally wrong to even bring money into it (unless, say, we were to finally discover that FH needs big buff servers or whatnot, but that's the joy of computer programs, you have a PC anyway so your additional cost is nonexistent.)
Now if you're talking about actual FH server operators (WOLF, hslan, TDP, whatever) that you play on regularly, they DO have fixed costs, incurred by bandwidth, server rental, maintenance, etc. Consider dropping them a buck.
Agree with every point made.
I have worked on such teams before (NWN) and people are more then willing to give heaploads of their time and skills for free.
I'd even offer to help if a) I knew the BF code and b) were no conflict of interrest.
That is why I suggested gift certificates. No real money and the team can get with it what they want and no one has any real gain from it. Books, software, whatever.
I didn't make it!
ohoh.. hellranger sa eestlane?..
anyway i would pay 5-20$

Unless the devs are allowed to buy the rights to work with the official sdk from bf2, they aren't allowed to make money of it. However, if FH2 will cost money (the final version which will take a few "years"), €25 - €50 sounds about fair.
And I would pay it since fh is all I really play. Well I started WOW again damnit :lookaround: I went to a buddy and he was showing of his wow characters so I went out and got me a gamecard
I'm just very relieved that FH2 development is still ongoing and by enthousiasts, who know what they are doing! I mean does anyone know the story of the Half-Life mod Natural Selection? I really loved this game, but then they caved into the "kiddies" who wanted faster action packed/easier games. So they, if you ask me and other old school players, screwed up the formula which made NS amazing.
Lets just say:
1. Community is almost dead now, due to abandoning the real fans 2. NS2 is nowhere in sight, no updats on their site etc... 3. They are trying to make money of a game which is freely downloadable on other sites, but wheres the updats on NS2 :bawl:
Hmm well that went nowhere fast
I selected that I'd never pay for Forgotten Hope, For my love for the team and the team's work cannot be put down in numbers. Nor can it be put down in words. But perheps it can be heard through singing, of the wonderfull Indian Birds. It cannot be shown through a movie, even with THX, But you might see it in a photo, of a hot girl in latex. And if I'd try and yell it out, Through the world it would sound: "Thank you for the FH mod, Now, I'm off to win this round!"
-edited .. yeah, I got bored..
