This is a question about whether or not FH ports over to BF2 and about the Voice over IP feature included in the new game. I'd imagine alot of ppl like myself feel this will really change the way the game works and plays out, but does this also mean we'll have to put up with dinks that spam their mic or spam with their radio like I've seen in UT2k4 & HL2? I'd imagine there's really no way to stop that from happening but only to kick the offending person? Anyhow, I pray it won't be as bad as I have seen it at times on other games.

Hopefully they will add a 'mute' button.

There was a interview with DICE person about that, he said that only commander can talk to all squads, and squad member to that squad, and there will be mute button, atleast he laughed about spammers, so why they wouldn't add it..

I hope you can mute people by their hash, so if some-one is a jackass once, you can "ban" them. And im pretty sure their spammers will be banned just as bad as repeated text spammers by server admins.

the distance will make your voice lose and gain if you are 50 yards away you wont hear as good as you would 10 yards so if you dont wanna hear his VOIP, just get away from him the only thing you hear clearly everywhere is the radio

Ah, Josey Wales. The High ping BF1918 player. UT2004 has area-based VoIP, so why shouldn't BF2 have it?

If that was implemented then my god that would be f*cking awesome.

However I'm pretty sure the commander can speak to all the troops when in commander mode.

No, in bf2 he can only speak to squad leaders. But i suspect this aspect of bf2 will be moddable too so the commander can talk to all players "under his command". Because i dont see pilots teaming up in squads >.>
