I can live with this random kit layout, but altho the m1carbine is a semi auto rifle i dont like that pos at all, i want a garand damnit. Dont spawn me with a carbine!

FH needs the 6º Class in Menu.

FH needs the class limit.

FH neeeds the SPRINT for Rifleman Class.

Im sorry are we discussing FH or BG42? cause BG42 was suposed to be the arcade mod with some realism and FH was supposed to be the realism based mod and what Im reading here is a bunch of suggestions that turn FH into a arcade style infantry game.

Me. Most of the time a bullet hitting a tank is enough of a distraction for the tank that it turns towards me and away from the AT infantry waiting to put a faust in its backside.

I vote that for the "outdated german weapon" for german AT guys, that they get a Mauser C96 or C96 Carbine. :)

Giving the Axis AT 2 Fausts and a pistol puts him on par with the Allied AT. As far as which rifle Assualt gets when he spawns, it ought to the be the mainstay weapon of that Army: K98 - Axis, Garand USA, Mosin Russian, Ariska Japanese. If you want to randamize a weapon, maybe that should be the Engineers? I agree with Casey - LMG all the way. MP40 is great!

ExelYes, but if you select a rifleman you wont know what rifle you will get. And the difference between a bolt-action K98 and semi-automatic G43 may be very decisive.

Hopefully it won't be that extreme. I'd hope that each class still gets a weapon along the lines that it selected; eg, the engineer would get either a Mosin Nagant, or an MN Carbine, or something, while the assault would get an SVT or some other automatic rifle.

With luck they won't completely randomise the weapons. That would be interesting, but hopefully the randomising won't be too extreme, and more along the lines of changing the alternative weapons than the guns themselves.

I personally don't think FH is for competitive play, nor does it look like it will be in the near future. FH is a realism mod, and with this random spawning it is making it more realistic. And realism is not balanced enough for competitive play in a game like FH, you can make a fairly balanced game for pubing but when you have something like the KT against T34s it just doesn't work.

I don't see how this random spawning will even affect the overall game very much. I played CAL-O, -I, and TWL with BF42 for atleast six monthes. If I had choosen assault and it spawned me a StG44(but I prefer MP40)then I wouldn't sweat it too much. I would just be even happier when I found a MP40 laying on the ground. Scavenging would be brought to a new level.

The goal of balanced gameplay above realism is what brought us vanilla. To me the joy of FH is using tactics to utilize the weapon systems advantages and avoid its disadvantages. It is inherently aysmetric becasue different armies eqipment was different. The balance must come from tweaking the map, not from the units which must have as similair pro/cons as there rl versions as possible.
