Well DC used to have them a long time ago, basically looked like cookie sized versions of the anti vehicle mines. If what Driver says is true, then that could explain why they disappeared. Just think of the mines fields that would be placed around cap points. It could turn out really bad.

And anti -personell mines would restrict infantry combat.......or at least make them more carefull and not bunnyhop all over the place.

I don't think that is too bad, since i like realism over pleasing the bunnyhoppers, but like all weapons you can expect this weapon might be abused or used so much so it becomes unrealistic. ( like the panzerfaust and bazooka and expacks )

In BFV they aren't that effective or powerfull, and littering them anywhere but near flags is totally useless. They magically dissapear just like AT mines over time, so that usefull or effective they are really not.

But since it takes BFV to have them ingame.......

At least static anti-personnel minefields are possible, I think. (I tested it once and couldn't find any problems, but deployable AP-mines always caused bf to crash. Maybe they too could be possible if a FH coder tried.)

I don't think they'd be that great. But perhaps a standard mine which explodes when anything rolls over it, as limited as existing ones, could be fun. It's always a bit strange when a tank and some infantry are advancing together, the tank hits a mine and blows, but the soldiers are ok. Perhaps at least giving the existing mine bigger splash damage against infantry and things would be a plus?

I see no point of them....maybe if they could be deployed on mass by an APC...but otherwise I think they would be a waste...
