Is cooking a grenade possible with this engine? -1 reply

I know it's a little late for .65 requests, but the ability to cook off a grenade is one thing I really miss in this game and mod... obviously not implemented in vanilla, but is it possible to implement in a mod? So the longer you hold the button, the longer it cooks... Also neat would be to use the left mouse button for long tosses, and right mouse button for short tosses (overhand vs underhand?). I searched and did not find anything related to this already posted, but sorry if it was...

Basicly a good idea. But you can already alter you throwing distance by holding down the right button...

You DO know that as it is right now you can left click to toss it far and you can right click and charge up your throw?

And no that "cooking" of the granade isn't possible as far as I know

I just wish they would put in a reticle so you know generally where your grenade is going.

There's no reticule IRl, so there shouldn't really be one in FH either. It's more of a feel thing and I think it works pretty well without a reticule. You have to compensate for distance, arch, and just the general direction the grande is going.

but there isnt a crosshair in RL either. Sometimes you have to sacrifice gameplay for realism, especially in games. I hope eventually FH will get some iron sights in game :):):).

Iron sights look horrid in BF1942, it's already been discussed, and the current "zoom" function works just dandy. I love the no reticule for grenades, makes you think how you need to throw it instead of just "point-and-click". Besides, does a reticule really help that much when hrowig a grenade? I mean, you don't even have the thing on where you want to throw it, it's always up in the air. No point for it being there.

Something that is missed is the ability to pick up a grenade and throw it back.

This is one of the reasons day of defeat infantry combat kicks battlefields infantrys ass.
