No, but a fixed stock will allways be a little better for stability, because it is one part with the forward handgrip, and a folding stock will never connect as firm as if it were one piece.
As long as it's well designed it will. And weapons used by armys are not some house made pipe rifles.:p

yeah, plus the folding stock would not be made from solid wood, which would reduce the overall weight of the weapon, thereby increasing recoil. - edit: slightly.

 :0wned: edit: btw McGibs the M1A1 is also on Battle of Foy.
Battle of Foy = Paratroopers. He said that any map with American Paratroopers has the M1A1, and he's right. The folding buttstock was made to reduce weight and make it compact, to make it easier for airdrops. Anyways.. a lot of maps have them but you can't really tell the difference in 1P because you can't see the buttstock. M1 = Army, M1A1 = Paratroopers.
snotvodIndeed, so let's get back to carbines and bazookas. If i'm not mistaking there are no more m1 bazookas in FH, they have all been replaced with the ironsighty m1a1's?
yea, i dont remember seeing a regular m1 in awhile.
i just hope that the devs make the m1/m1a1 carbine as useful as it is in COD2. (awaits the realism flames)
I've never played CoD2, please explain. :)
in cod2, the carbine was kina like a glorified pistol. it was weaker than the garand, stronger and longer range than the pistol, but had a very small spread. the recoil of the fh2 carbine is a bit too much. cant get 2 shots off without it expanding like crazy, and 2 shots wont kill a full health player. maybe its cause the player models in fh are so damn skinney :P

Yeah, I know the M1A1 is a folding-stock version of the M1 Carbine. What I didn't know was that Foy involved paratroopers. Meh. I must not be paying enough attention.

lets keep it real please :D
about the carbine, both versions where done and are ingame. afaik they are useing the same damage values.

maybe, but thats probalby not noticeable if you're not a sniper trying to hit something 5km away with the carbine ^^
