Iwo Jima day 1 is in FHSW 0.25, see the "fhsw?" thread at the top or visit our site Forgotten Honor Tournament - Best Forgotten Hope Tournament where FHSW also can be grabbed!

Mr_Cheese;3854193Is Iwo Jima the new Stalingrad/Normandy?

Of course not, Comrade! Neither Stalingrad nor Normandy will ever fall!

I'll agree that the current Iwo Jima in 0.7 is fun to play, but I do think it needs to be redone by the FH team. The layout of the island just doesn't make sense when compared to the actual flow of battle on Iwo. See this picture:

The Eastern part of the island is what really needs to be included in another revised version. Right now, the eastern portion isn't really a main location of fighting and is just mountain ranges around an airfield. The Airfield (or 2 if they so choose) should be more centrally located to the west of the island, and there should be large bluffs and cliffs in the eastern portions where all the hardest fighting took place on Iwo Jima. Just my two cents.

If you have a map size like that of the new saipan, you could have the whole thing in. Iwo was supposed to be small, so a lil resizing wont hurt - but not as bad as DICE' map. also, you can't eliminate any side of the pork-chop: The stump (Suribachi) was where many of the big guns were. Take that away and you have a non-unique Pacific map. take away the pork-chop (the airfields) and you have no reason for the battle. If the map could me as big and as 'complex' (maybe moreso) than saipan, with such things as face paint for marines, huge guns, artillery and mortar for both sides, a proper sea wall on the beach and ofcourse all those lovely trech systems, some one could make a 1001 FH fans' dreams come true... Add bots, and you'll make MY dreams come true :-)

I cant agree more! The FHSW Iwo kick tomatoes! No way it could be better. But if the map could have a couple of flamethrowers(i know we got the shermans, but flamethrowers would be even cooler) for example the german type because theres no other types, it would rock as much as it could rock :)
