Do you follow orders as a squadleader from your commander?

I found, playing as commander, that usually there is one squad following orders issued by the commander. The rest of the squads say yes but attacks or defends a whole other point, then the one given. I would be delighted if just for once I could get a coordinated attack. This just happend one time on Aberdeen, when I pounded the enemy first with arty, dropped supply crates en route and yelled for my squads to attack. It can be exhilarating when such a feat is accomplished.

So ... do you follow orders or just say :moon: to the commander ?

I would if the commander ever would issue orders.

Also, I won't if it's obviously stupid (like "Defend enemy main base"), or it he keeps changing the orders every 30 seconds.

I have to agree with Ionizer, and most times I find the commander doing something else than commanding though - like camping in a tank somewhere. But in general I would follow orders from either the SL or the CMDR.

Hmm.. It's rare to have a commanding commander in FH2.. And when they are commanding I am willing to follow there orders, as long as they are logical. I wont follow stupid orders.

Aha .. but how would you know that they are stupid. Isn't this an ancient problem with leading men into war. The lower ranking men questioning the strategy and tactics of the officers. You must trust that you commanding officer has the bigger picture.

Hmmm..Can we get a firingsquad or demoting option when some refuses an order :deal:

I don't mind playing a few rounds looking at a map as a commander when I have good squads that can follow orders.

I've had commanders issuing a varying order ever 5 seconds to me, then saying that I was a great squad, and a bad squad, in alternating moments. All the while I just ignored him and held the point i was holding with my squad. I rarely play as a normal soldier though, I'm almost always leading at least one or two, if not more, 130th members. I gave up on leaving squads unlocked too, after they kept acting like idiots, firing when they shouldn't fire, getting me and others killed....

I try to command when I'm on commander position, and I can be a real pain in the ass to most squad leaders. I tend to bitch all the time if they don't follow orders, give them advice on how to do it, and so on (my ingame name is Brit_officer...a number of you probably had to put up with me a number of times...*cough*). Also, I usually do some jokes and witty remarks about what's going on.

Most squad leaders who know me, tend to follow the orders, others don't even respond, do the exact opposite or tell me to "STFU d00d!"

It's usually very frustrating, especially when Voip is not active.

exactly what I do, 90 % of the time neither squadleader or the commander (in public servers) give any orders, so often I start up a squad, and giving orders and trying to get my squad to follow my orders, but it's usually me and (at the most) 2 other players who follow my orders, the rest are just scattered all over the map and in planes. and as ionizer says, if the orders are stupid I won't follow them. Also, if i have spent 5-10 minutes sneaking over half the map together with a few people from my squad, and the commander gives me orders to attack/defend a position somewhere else, THEN I ignore his orders.

I'll follow orders most of the time and actually relishes when there is a commander that will give them. Same with squad leader orders... As a squad leader, if I don't like it I'll just say no but I've only done this a couple of times...
