I didn't make it!
I have no trouble w/ my Joystick on BF 1942 or BF Vietnam. I just started playing FH. I noticed that flying is very difficult. In fact I can barely stay up in the air. I know this isn't a lag problem. Driving ground vehicles and playing as infantry on the ground all checks out fine. I double checked options/controls/air and all is defaulted properly. Any suggestions? Thanks.
There is not logic reason for your problem, the FH planes have physics more realistic than vanilla but the diference is no so drastic
I think Lobo hit the target. Planes are harder to man in FH. It's a bit hard to change to FH from Vanilla or other mods, so It's normal if you have to practice a bit ;)
keyboard flier for life!:bouncy:
Keyboards for teh w1n!
whatever i fly like a wingless turkey with Keyboard or joystick. Hell Raptor's Flying Stug 3 is better than me any day!
^ Can turkeys fly? Its joystick all the way for me, it feels like an extension of my body.
The FoHo aircraft have a "stall" characteristic. It's not "pure", but does require a better hand to control than Vanilla '42. Overall the flight is much more sim-like. And the speed: Just TRY keeping the P38 inbounds on Battle Isle. You cover that map in no-time:smokin:. There are still some Aircraft that need tweaking though: The FW190 "Dora" is a bit of a PIG in FoHo. -And that ain't right! "Pips" Priller would be PISSED!
For my two cents worth; I can't tell any difference at all between the FH aircraft and those in the original game. I'm an old flightsimmer, and there's very little indication of any actual flight physics.
Joystick seems to work just fine for me....
For fun, with the original aircraft, I did a bit of testing with a stopwatch. I was able to make 360 degree turns with most of the fighters in something like 6-7 seconds. This is vastly unrealistic, of course. Still, the aircraft are important to the game, and they do look nice. I just can't bring myself to fly em' much.
I had to recalibrate mine the other day for the first time in I don't know how long to fly correctly in the Battle of Britain. I think FH flying is great just the nose will drop on you.
