Lobo;4442115A realism mod of FH2 is a redundancy

You can always have more realism Lobo. Right up until you have full metal jackets flying out of the monitor screen and hitting you in the face.

Just think of it this way. Desert maps of FH1 were probably the lease liked (save for El Al), that being said, if they can make the Africa campaign THIS good (i.e. FH2 at it's current state) I cant even IMAGINE what they're going to do for Western and Eastern fronts, since they were awesome even in FH1, FH2 will just make you ooze awesome from your eyes as you play it :P

Ah, FH2, perhaps one of the most finely researched presentations of video game technology. To the tanks never seen in other games, to the wonderfully modeled maps, that if taken in the right spot, can be matched to a black and white photograph from the era.

Yet with all this wonderful realism surrounding the games core, it remains fun, intense, and even makes you chuckle from time to time. Perhaps thats due to the sudden explosion of a teddy bear crate, or a bicycle. Whatever it is, FH2 remains a wonderful piece of art, and for its apparent idolization of perfection, we can expect great things in the near future.

Sure no doubt. I agree with everyone here:

- a slower pace FH2 version would be really nice

- the FH1 desert maps were the less liked, so I'm confident with the Normandy release we will see many FH1 veterans come back + many newcomers

Anyway, there's no game nor mod above FH2, so we're stuck with it :p

I mean, I can't play anything else. PR is nice, but you have to be sure to meet and gather with 5 clanmates, or at least 5 guys you know well, among other good squads and against good squads on a good server, so it's a flimsy alchemy. (Plus it's just that boring modern warfare context)

FH2, you just connect on every public game, and let's go :)

I think the pace is just right :P Small maps like Hyacinth are in your face, and bigger maps take a little time between huge onslaughts :P

archjtect;4442251Why? FH still tries to offer a fun-oriented type of gameplay, which is good, still Id like to see a minimod that follows a philosophy of getting everything as realistic as possible, much like PR (yeah hate me for that). As i said, not for public play, but realism-oriented tournaments.

Yeah, but this is open to debate, as everything in the business of realism mods. Some guys say PR, RO, etc are more realistic because they removed crosshairs, others we think that's not true, because the players of those mods can't use their weapons from the hip like a real soldier would do, etc, etc, etc. And this for thousands small details like this.

To make a "realism" mod is a walk in the park, to make it right and still keep it enjoyable is not so easy.

**** All the 1.15 patch will be a homage to the sacrificed ground grunts, they win wars =p

Archimonde0_0;4442246Screwing with textures, sounds, and even Animations sometimes is pretty fun. I do it as a hobby.

it actually can help the team , most of the maps in PR were from R-CONs (contributors) that then became devs .

mappers , 2D artist , animators , modelers , even coders can be found by that way . :nodding:
