I would just like to *hug* whoever made that map.

Finally something which abjectly punishes tanker scorewhore campers with a big fat "L".

I strongly encourage allies to ridicule, mock and annoy any Axis team that sits outside the gates racking up points. Tick tock. Unlike "some" other maps that enforce teamplay, this one doesn't give the defenders any imbalanced technical advantages. Only team play, and reliance on the cowardice of children in their precious panzers.

Now I only wish bftracks listed "wins", "losses", and "really miserable defeats because YOU sat around in a tank being a chickensh**".

I love it!

Legendary Otolikos is behind this map, aswell as he is behind In The Hell of Bocage. I love Ramelle, always had loved it and always will. It is awesome fun on both teams, but it can be very frustating if the scorewhores are just sitting there and you try to advance as infantry only. I think its ok to camp and rack up scores on the bridges tho, but not outside the bloody town! ;)

Yes, Otolikos is the man, and tanker campers are a God gift for us, poor 101sters, defending that rat trap

Yeah, I like it too, but I can't understand why the allies get a ticketbleed when the axis capture the bridge. Everytime I've played this map the axis has always had more tickets than the allies when they capture the bridge and this leads to the axis just camping the bridge with tanks and the allies mostly futile attempts to recapture it or atlest grey it.

I guess this is a valid tactic, but my picture of this map is that the allies are supposed to play a defensive role all the way to the last flag. I have never seen the germans capture or even grey a flag on the other side of the river and that's a shame, because I really love it when the whole map is in play and I think the allied backflags seems like they would be able to give some great battles if only the germans would get there.

I'm not a huge fan of Hell of Bocage, which I like even less than Pegasus (although recently I've almost started to change my mind about the latter...) but in Ramelle he really has gotten it right.

Unfortunately, FH doesn't have a mechanism to punish people with the attitude "so what if my team loses the round, as long as my score is 1337".

Here's a suggestion: give (at least Soviet) FH2 sides a "commissar" instead of a commander, who's allowed to summarily execute anyone being a pissant coward camper instead of attacking! You could call it the "firing squad kit", and the icon in the weapons selection could be a bullet-riddled wooden pole with ropes hanging from it... :-)

excellent idea fuzzy, i beleive Lobo was planning a commisar kit too...

@Frenkan: I beleive that Ramelle Nueville is modelled after the movie Saving Private Ryan (could be wrong though). If this is the case, the whole POINT of the map is to HOLD the BRIDGE. both sides need that bridge as it is the only non destroyed bridge for miles in either direction, and a major ascet. If I am wrong, It would make sense that the point is still to hold the bridge as bridges in WWII were very scarce and valuable what with everybody destroying them left and right...

hrhr, a typical, emotional fuzzy bunny topic! :D *hides* as you stated, this is a map where the axis as general are punished for mindless, tankcamping players. a good way to learn for quite some peeps playing this mod. anyway, at least the last few times i played this map, germans (infantry and tanks combined) acchieved taking the flags before the bridge and making the game interesting. just like the british could make their stand in much hated pegasus, and win at least 50% percent of the games i was involved in recent times. FH is a game for experts, but even experts need some time to adapt to "new-playstyle-maps", which look unbalanced because of layout and equipement at the first view. but hey, they are not realy!

One problem with that: A n00b could get it, and be a smacktard by killing anyone who gets his tank.
