It's very late, and I'm barely awake, so maybe this makes no sense.

The only big problem I can see with locking enemy armor, is when you take a point, all their old equipment is still there, forcing you to destroy it. Could you possibly code it, so that when a point changes possession, any enemy vehicles that have not been touched, simply explode or dissappear?

Other than that, if you're trying to cap a flag, the enemy has access to his equipment while you dont. That's a little problem, but I don't think it's as big a deal. Make it a little easier to defend. But if your team sucessfully capps the point, poof, away they go, and your own spawn shortly thereafter.

I like it.

Sorry if I irritate anybody by bringing this up yet AGAIN.

Great idea, could we at least test this on one map mini mod? It would add realism, and reduce TKing which is big.

Yeah disappearing tanks and random hardware explosions probably happened all the time....

I don't really see the problem with destroying enemy equipment...

Unless it so happens that nobody around is AT or engineer, allowing the enemy to run in and take them.

I know, but neither did magically appearing equipment. :uhoh: It's a game, and some things kinda have to be taken with a grain of salt. Just like appearing equipment would simulate them being brought in, disappearing would simulate them being hauled out.

as i hvae said like 10 times before the only vehicles that should be locked is the Heavy tanks and they only spawn in your main base (solved!)

BAM, that would definatly solve the biggest problems with an unbalanced fight, but are you sure heavy armor only spawns in your back base in every map? I thought there were at least a couple maps where certain points spawn a heavy tank, but I'm not 100% sure.

There was something else I was going to say too, but I forget. Maybe a beer will help me remember.

Good! Embrace the fear! Dance with me, Lumpeh. Dance the Dance of Life!

Edit:  Oh yea! The only other thing BAM, is that solution won't help with TKing teammates in enemy vehicles.

It happens now, if you leave a vehicle empty out of it spawn location for a while... and get this, they explode when it happens. Have you played this game before?

No fighting in my thread! :)

I think the fact is unrealistic things will always happen due to the engine, and due to the fact that it's a game in the first place. All we can do, is change the things we have power over (or whine about the things we don't) to try to make it a more realistic experience.
