Wait a second before you take a shot, I'm pretty sure you have to wait for the invisible crosshairs to close before the shot is accurate.

Lo everyone! this is my first post here on these forums so before i continue, id like to let you know that the one and only Bupo has arrived. but i digress! thus far playing in fh .65 has yielded many things. things i like: the more powerful plane machine guns, the toned down vierlings and 40mm aa guns, satchels, new weapon/vehichle skins, new weapons/vehichles and so on. there havent been so many bad things to ruin the game but here are the only real major problems i can think of: weakened king tiger, weird sniper rifle scoping (the place where the bullet goes is no longer the dot in the center of the crosshair, but the top of the line right below it o_O ). the retarded fact that in maps like omaha charlie sector...where certain flags require more than one person to capture, that even though it might take 3 people to CAPTURE a flag for your team, it only takes 1 enemy to neutralize the flag and turn it grey,whyshould you be able to neutralize a flag by yourself if you cannot capture it by yourself, this gives unfair advantage to invaders and leads to pointlessly losing a spawnpoint, without the enemy gaining one, it isnt fair that even if the entire german team of 12 people is around a flag that it only takes the presence of a single american hiding behind a box to keep the germans from spawning. somthing else is that rifle grenades have been nerfed (sadly such is the fate of all grenade launchers in bf mods because people cryand dont realize that a grenade launcher SHOULD kill a man easily) the fact that it takes longer for the crosshairs to come together wouldnt bother me so much if it wasnt for the fact that for some weird reason.....the grenade does not shoot untill 3 seconds after you pull the trigger. whats up with this? was it really necessary to nerf it THAT much, when people think that a weapon is too powerful, why is it that people say the solution is to make it completely unusable,how is this what you call "balance"? im ok that it takes longer to aim the grenade launcer, that wouldnt be so bad, but making it take 3 seconds after you click for it to fire is going TOO FAR. as usual...this not being forgotten hopes fault, but the fact that planes in bf only have hitboxes in the nose is as unrealistic and frustrating as ever, it would be nice if they could fix this. another MAJOR problem is with servers inability to run pacific maps,and ive also been having the same problem with the map rheinubung my final problem with the new patch, which i suspect has to do with all the ramped up skins and polygons....is LOW FPS, before the patch any map besides like 2 maps always ran steadily on this computer above 40 fps....since the patch however, unless i turn my settings way down in many aspects i am lucky to get above 10 fps...especially in vegetation heavy new maps like good wood, and falaise pocket, and then also breakthrough...now i dont know if these problems will be fixed through texture refining and cutting down on unnecessary code in the future, and in a month im building a flaming new computer so it wont matter to me anyways but still....its a problem all the same. so that raps up any major problems that ive noticed thus far, i rated the new patch an 8 out of 10, and once some of those problems go away it will be a 10!!!!! keep up the good work fellas, see you all on the front!

Hi all,

Well a big thanks to the developers for a great upgrade to a great mod.

Map wise, I've particularly enjoyed Operation Nordwind. It has a great balance of Infantry and Armour action. Some of the key flags can only be taken by infantry which stops the tanks running rampant, while the large open spaces stop the infantry from dominating if the tank commanders use their heads.

My favorite weapon has to be the Allied Grease Gun. I realise that this may have been in game in 0.61 but I only just figured out how to use it. Or perhaps there was a bug? Either way it is a weapon that commands considerable respect.

The model for the Halifax bomber in Bombing the Reich is spectacular, such a pity that I'm the worlds worst pilot.

It's great to see more single player maps as well. Not only for the players with slow internet connections but also for players like myself with slow brains who need a few practice sessions on new vehicles and maps before going online to be slaughtered.

My one and only gripe is the absence of Berlin Outskirts but apparently it is to return in a later release so I can look forward to that.

I voted for 1...and heres why...

In .61, we had an advanced game that vets would come to play and enjoy the harder atmosphere. Many vets of Bf found a new home with this advanced difficulty. With the release of .65 however, we find the mod taking a HUGE step backwards, reverting itslef back to the standards bf set. Examples... 1. Fighters now carrying bombs...The Hurricane is such a vanilla plane it's not funny. This plane definetly is too uber to be included in any map such as it is now. In .61 this type of plane didnt exisit. There was only 1 fighter that carried bombs, (p47) and it had its disadvantages. It could not compete with the 109. It was slow and bulky. Not the uber bomber and dogfighter the hurricane is... 2. Flight Physics....yuck...all i can say is yuck...as I am a pilot and probably one of the best in Fh. The physics are rediculous, even worse then Bf. .61 needed some plane adjustments, but not a complete overhaul. We had more of a real feel in .61. Now we have more of a Galatic Conquest Feel. 3. Infintry Combat....65 has brought about a huge increase in bunnyhopping, spray and pray tatics. There is no reason whatsoever to use the assualt kit. Why use the rifle when i can use a SMG? A realism mod should have the whole polish army equiped with Smg's during Fall Weiss? This is what happens now. Everyone thought the PPsh was horribly nubbish in .61...now every army has its own PPsh for all to use...wonderful. 4. Game Enhancements...Im another person who now cannot play maps i used to play in .61. Prok, Breakthrough, and some of the new maps are unplayable for me. I used to play these maps no prob. Now they are chop fests. Even with the new looks of the maps they dont compare to .61. Prok looked better with fog, fog was needed on Foy and Stalingrad. Stanlingrad has become unplayable for the Russians now that Fog has been removed. And foy's turned into a Spray and pray fest. These are the bread and butter of any game, Infintry combat being your main, and the flight physics being your second. There is no difficult anything in this game anymore. We have turned into another form of Bg.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying here. A select maps should have class limits. They would be: But for the love of realism, dont limit the PPSh guys. They really did equip entire batallions with this weapon, if not divisions. The MG whores should be limited, so as to prevent half the allied team hiding behind a Belgan Gate on CS trying to kill people. FH has gotten to be a slightly more realistic form of BG... Shit, even I can fly now with a modicum of success, and thats fucked up. The Hurricane Mk.II was not a fighter-bomber, it was an interceptor. It never carried bombs! The P-51D would never be used in ground attack, the water cooler is too vulnerable. The P47 and Typhoon are the only planes later in the war that should carry bombs. If you want an attack-bomber for the desert, put in the Gloster Gladiator, or more Defiants (eww, I know). [color=Blue]-last lines removed by dönitz-[/color]

Really nice work, as ever. The addition of singleplayer is a big plus for me. It means I can fly (crash) the planes without getting embarassed.
