They really did equip entire batallions with this weapon, if not divisions. The MG whores should be limited, so as to prevent half the allied team hiding behind a Belgan Gate on CS trying to kill people. FH has gotten to be a slightly more realistic form of BG... Shit, even I can fly now with a modicum of success, and thats fucked up. The Hurricane Mk.II was not a fighter-bomber, it was an interceptor. It never carried bombs! The P-51D would never be used in ground attack, the water cooler is too vulnerable. The P47 and Typhoon are the only planes later in the war that should carry bombs. If you want an attack-bomber for the desert, put in the Gloster Gladiator, or more Defiants (eww, I know). [color=blue]-last lines removed by dönitz-[/color]

Yes, they did equip entire batallions with a ppsh...but even this compared to the ENTIRE russian army is a small number...1 batallion in a million troops isnt saying much for not limiting smg's....the huge majority of troops were armed with your standard run of the mill rifle. Something that isnt reflected at all in FH. Fh used to be a slightly more realistic form of BG. Now im afraid its not. They gave up realism to appease the nubs who kept complaining on the boards. Problem is, once DC or someother new mod comes out, their going to lose all these nubs. Add this and the fact most vets are discusted at the way FH is now heading, we might not be seeing this mod last too much longer. Hurricanes by the way did carry bombs. Might wanna check that out for yourself...problem is...the ones that did carry bombs didnt also intercept planes....P-51D also could carry bombs. Later parts of the war it ran most of the ground attack missions, allthough it was ill-suited for it. But again, even a P-51 carrying a 250lb bomb suffered from major reduced preformace. This isnt noticeable at all in these planes...you can bomb and dogfight with no hinderance. Too much power for 1 anything to have.

Greetings and Salutations,

I have been playing FH for several days now, so I am still kind of new to the mod. But I definitely want to give thanks to the Devs for making such a great mod! I gave it a 9 because I think it's so much more excellent than plain vanilla BF1942. :nodding: Sure it has a few rough edges here and there, but for a 0.65 version I think it absolutely rocks!

Again, thank you to the Devs for making Forgotten Hope. I do hope you enjoy your work and continue with it because I know I sure enjoy it. :)

Problem is, once DC or someother new mod comes out, their going to lose all these nubs. Add this and the fact most vets are discusted at the way FH is now heading, we might not be seeing this mod last too much longer.

Im not trying to be dramatic, Im just stating the facts. Look at most of your old school servers that the good players played on. You always saw the evils, and alot of other clans playing. Now im afraid servers are mainly populated mainly by smacktards and the typical DC nub that downloaded FH to try it out. Wolf used to be populated at ALL times, this week I signed on 4 times to only an 8vs8 battle. Out of 42 people. Most players I talk to that I always used to play with say the same things. They really dislike Infintry combat for one. Firing a K98 at an enemy running at you, only to hit him, have him keep running, and then spray you with his SMG while your reloading is lame. And this happens ALOT now. Watch the kill messages sometime, you hardly ever see a rifle kill..only Mg's or SMG's. While most players do like the new planes, they unbalace once playable maps..Gazala and El Amien. The allies can easily defeat the Germans on these maps. All they need is 3 good pilots. There is no downfall for manning a fighter/bomber. There should be. Also look at the people who are posting about reduced preformace. We downloaded a patch...not a whole new game. I shouldnt need to update my system that ran .61 perfectly fine because I updated to the new patch. I dont really want better looking trees, I want a better running game.

FH is great I've been playing it since the day it was released to the public, the first map I ever played was Fall Of Weis 1939 and the second I spawned, shot my Kar98k into the sky and got into a panzerII, I knew this was going to be a creative, historic and fun mod with a good future.

Does FH plan on adding any armies like Italy, or France? Maybe some early battles when hitler launched the blitz against france? Or the American/British/Canadian attacks on Sicily 1943? The Raid On Dieppe? (France 1942) The Raid On Dieppe would be a good idea, even though it was a complete failure for the Canadians, were they suffered great losses. But this mod is obviously not only focused on the WW2 millitary achievments of the anglo-americans, like most mods/games.

Ok, I would like to say this:

FH is the best mod out there, best graphics even if not gameplay.

Thats my problem, I have everything set to minimum, and get lag everywhere...its a sad thing really. FH has grown out of the BF engine....

This might sound really stupid, but I am not the only one who has this opinion. If you cannot get more than 30fps on Valrisk with a 9600SE card, then there is a problem somewhere.

The Mk IIC carried four 20 mm British-made Hispano cannons, two in each wing. The real bruiser in this series was the Mk IID carrying two 40 mm Vickers cannons and two 0.303 in. machine guns and extra armour for low level attacks on armoured vehicles. All of the extra weight reduced the speed and range of the aircraft. The Mk.IV model (initially called the Mk.IIE) used a "universal wing" making the arrangement of armament very flexible. Also, the Mk.IV was given the most powerful Merlin engine available, the 1298 hp models 21 or 22, 12 cyl. supercharged and liquid-cooled. Once it's dropped it's "load" why shouldn't it be able to tangle with a Me109? The following Aircraft ALL had fighter-bomber models: Spitfire, Hurricane, P51(there was an Allison-engined version of the "A and B" models that was used exstensively in the Italian campaigns), P47, P38, Typhoon, Tempest (these 2 developed FOR the role), Me109, FW190, Me262 (though WHY HITLER let these have bombs strapped on them I dunno- He was definetly a NUTJOB), etc. etc. etc. The Allies had SUCH air-superiority over Europe they were putting bombs on everything. Spitfire Pilots HATED it. And some would "ditch" them, first chance they had...

Hello! My first post here too... Since I've seen a few posts here and there regarding problems with low FPS with vegetation and stuff (se below for Bupos post), I thought I'd mention a few things... I have a ATI Radeon 9700 Pro and also noticed these MASSIVE slowdowns with 0.65, but not straight away... It came after a while, and I just couldn't figure out what it was. I became desperate and reinstalled my entire BF1942 after noticing the problem in DC and SilentHeroes as well (although not nearly as bad as in FH). Nothing helped. Then I realised I had installed a new version of the GFX driver, and decided to try another. And whaddya know... tada. Worked like a charm! I installed the OmegaDrivers based on the 4.10 Beta and they worked great!! Just the other day I installed the ATI 4.12 Beta, thinking that surely ATI would have fixed this problem, but no... immediately the FPS dropped like a dead dodo as soon as there was some vegetation and occasionally housing... Unistalled the ATI drivers, reinstalled the old OmegaDrivers... and voila, back in action...weird... anyone else seen this?? //MH [QUOTE=Bupo]Lo everyone! this is my first post here on these forums so before i continue, id like to let you know that the one and only Bupo has arrived. It´s the BEST WW2 Game I know!:bows: BUT,it can be better.The game could have a better single player support,for all maps could have. And,by the way,what happened with the Admiral and the USMA..?
