Any chance of making the gunner non-snipable in the M36? It is a wee funny, that you fear infantry more then you fear tanks.

Realistic you say? I doubt the Jackson had a 1-man crew...

And I doubt the gunner would sit out in the open if he suspected, the slightest, there was enemy infantry around.

It is a shame one of the best Allied tanks has been reduced to a sniper object.

But you can still have a compatriot protect you from the OH SO WELL DESIGNED back MG position :uhoh: !!!!!!(HUGE sarcasm for those who didn't get it).

I agree the current "no roof" situation makes the M36 pathetic. Sure, it kills kingtigers easily, but even a friggin hanomag can just spray the head of the driver. As for the back mg position, I won't even comment on its retardedness. Anyone using it just *asks* to be brutally killed with every possible weapon available in FH. I'm sure a jumping german can even shovel him. Sure, its not the kind of vehicule you bring in a town, but yeah, being sniped while in the middle of some plain is not very pleasant.

i would also like to gunner and open tank positions have better protection. the m36 mg gunner is way to exposed. also on the hanomag the gunner should have protection behind the shield and not have his head above it. also this small.gif

Yup. The M36 is an "eggshell armed with a hammer" but it should really have a tarp or something over the top (or at least have the gunner's head lower.)

I suggest lowering both the driver/main gunner and the MG gunner positions further down in the tank. Would give more cover, as well as not making it impossible for infantry in tall buildings or such to kill the crew.

I would suggest some kind of cool code that gives the driver the option to respawn in the M36 quickly after being shot. Simulates more crew, while maintaining the exposed gunners position. Alternatively, what about camouflage?

1395g.jpg I've been wondering about how exposed the crews of the M36 were in real life. As you easily can see in the picture above, manning the MG seems to have been a deathtrap in real life aswell so no arguing there. However, I haven't been able to find any pictures showing a M36 in combat and therefore don't know how exposed the crew manning the main gun was. Being able to be sniped at when you're manning the maingun seems a little farfetched but I think you should be able to toss a grenade in there and kill the crew and thus disable the tank. If anyone have any combat pictures of the M36 I would love to see them.
