In fh the mgs are great and are very cool, but there are suppost to be a person next to the gunner that loads the ammo and feeds the belts.there should be a second position in the mgs.:D :naughty: like this ps I have35038m.jpg this:p . so can this be put in fh or is this hard to do a or is this a dumb idea:naughty: :uhm: if it can that thank u so much:bows: :bows:

I think its kind of dumb. FH cannot support the sheer amount of players required to fill every single position on the battlefield.

Most of the German MG 34 or 42's I recall from the game are drum fed anyway so the dolt with the box of ammo is redundant anyway.

mg42s were never drum fed exept for AA roles (dont ask why we have drum fed mg42s in fh1)

You don't need 2 second person on the mg42 to reload! The gunner reloads it himself - the second one is a second pair of eyes to spot enemy infantrie, to change the barrel and to support the ammunition feed - at 1550 rounds per minute the ammo strap is drawn in very fast.

It's been discussed in the past that we need someone to change the barrel and feed the ammo as a second position. Personally, I hate the idea. I realize it's not as realistic, but come on, would you like to stand around the whole time and feed someone's ammo in a game? Plus, what do you do if your team is a bunch of incompitant nOObs? You fight without MG's that's what you do. It's a bad idea, let's not bring it up again.

as the MGs also are pretty much useless (seeing anyone in an MG get sniped by an rifle pretty damn fast), I dont support the idea of a 2 man crew in the MGs this time either...

This is a case where gameplay is more important than realism. Who would like to log on to a FH-game just to lay next to some other dude firing and himself doing nothing but feeding ammo to the MG the entire round. We play this game because we want to enjoy ourselves and I can't find much enjoyment in the case above.

I don't like the idea of requiring multiple people to operate an MG. I _do_ however think it's utterly mind-wrackingly stupid to be able to shoot one while running aorund and actually hit something. Note I'm not talking about LMGs like the BAR, Johnson (why'd they take that out of Liberation of Caen?!?) or the Bren here, but mainly the belt-fed MG42.
