No, not a whining posts this time.......

I just wonder about some (ground) vehicles the germans used and could be really encountered and made a reputation for themselves in historic important battles and clashes, when and if they are planned to appear in FH. It is just a question, not some kind of demand. I seen models of a few of them but they never apperaed in FH yet, for wich i am a bit dissapointed ofcourse.

FH equipment like Tiger, Panther and Wespe is nice, but in reality most battles during the war were fought without these.......battles that are in FH too. Ofcourse i realize what is already in FH, and how much work it was.....and what is in, i am using it all. :)

I think though it is important we not have only light armoured Wespe but bigger and more durable Hummel self propelled artillery also. Heavy field artillery could be usefull posiotioned in main bases to give heavy artillery support on defended outposts......Early war tank destroyers are invaluable units to stop much stronger enemy tanks where germanies tanks were too weak to fight enemy tanks themselves.....

These are the vehicles i feel are missing in FH that really should be in to be historically accurate.

( i included so much pictures because a summary of vehicle names is so boring )

Actually there were several different types of marder I, they were all base on the chassis of captured tanks so there were several variants.

Ok mon... Lemma see. Elephant - I love this, dont get me wrong on what Im about to say, but we dont need it. 1st off, it was so heavy it ususally got stuck in mud and burned, secondly, I dont know how many Porshe Chassis there were, but it was them only that got turned into the Elephant (I guess 60-90), and even after it left the wicked east, it still had problems in Italy. Bad Tank Destroyed, looks cool though. Nashton - This was an excellent tank destroyer through the years before the Jagd Panzers and Panthers appeared. Nice 88, we definately need this little buddy. Quick to arrive put its armor is paper thin. Shame... Sturmtiger - Who uses a Brummbar? Because thats what that basically is. This smells like BF42:Secret Weapons. sIG33 - Nice artillery piece, early war timed. Waste of time to implement me thinks though, unless we decide to do more polish maps. Bison - Useless too. Hummel - This is what I think the Waspe should be replaced with. Maultier - Didnt the team model this already? 105mm - Could be nice. sIg33, gun - Just settle for the vehicle. 150mm - Too damn much. Panzerjager IB - 45mm gun right? We could use this on the desert. Marder 1&3 - Could use these, but again.. Too much. Hetzer - This better come out soon! JagdTiger - Based on its performance record, it would only bring this game down to a brand new low.

ManiKActually there were several different types of marder I, they were all base on the chassis of captured tanks so there were several variants.
There were, but they were CRUCIAL together with PAK field guns and the luftwaffe to stop enemy tanks, because germanies tanks at the time could not.....

Not having these in FH means you will get owned by the enemy, but that wil be strange situation in a time where the german army did win wars continously and conqured almost all of Europe.
Sturmtiger - Who uses a Brummbar? Because thats what that basically is. This smells like BF42:Secret Weapons.

Just because it appeared in Secret weapons doesn't mean it is one........it was used by the germans and the 380 mm mortar was nothing useless to those enemies in bunkers and whole building blocks that instantly collapsed.

sIG33 - Nice artillery piece, early war timed. Waste of time to implement me thinks though, unless we decide to do more polish maps.

Because it is missing in early war maps, these maps are nearly infantry-only maps......rediculous, as germans really needed and used lots of artillery in the conquest of Europe, especially if they did not want, or they could not go around heavily defended area's. Imagine how much easier it would be to cross that bridge in Fall Weiss if you could pound the defenders on the other side ? It isn't a question if the bunnyhoppers would like that, it is a question of making the map historically more accurate.

Bison - Useless too.

Tell me honestly.......can you use artillery in indirect mode ? Or are you a hopper who will never learn or understands what artillery is for and therefore deems artillery useless ?

Battles can be won with artillery support......a good artillery gunner can sweep away camping tanks and defending infantry with ease......

Hummel - This is what I think the Waspe should be replaced with.

Only in the right timeline in the war......

105mm - Could be nice. sIg33, gun - Just settle for the vehicle. 150mm - Too damn much.

150 mm is finally something usefull when it comes down to heavy artillery fire......and besides, the battleships have much heavier guns.......only the devs seem scared to death they migh hurt the infantry hoppers. There really should be battleships pounding Omaha beach and Gold beach.....

Panzerjager IB - 45mm gun right? We could use this on the desert.

No, 37 mm PAK and later 50 mm PAK.....just a self propelled PAK AT field gun, but invaluable to stop the much stronger enemy tanks that german tanks cannot handle that time in the war.

Marder 1&3 - Could use these, but again.. Too much.

You will have a diffrent opinion when you get owned by French, Brittish and Russian tanks eraly on in the war.

JagdTiger - Based on its performance record, it would only bring this game down to a brand new low.

Why ? At that time in the war aircraft had no problem with it at all.......

Problem, even if the Sturm Tiger has a 380mm mortar round, its useless.....seeing as you cant destroy buildings. Overkill Brummbar in my opinion....that broke down too often.

And to balance things out a bit... Unlike Beast of War's suggested vehicles, all of these were mass produced, with thousands serving during the war.

I was going to do that next Artie......but i guess you spared me the work :)

Many infantry minded persons will say we have enough vehicles in FH allready, but german vehicles see most maps in FH, in a timespan of the whole war period........that is why it is justified to have a good range of sorts of German vehicles.

But you are right, the Russians had a whole range of their own vehicles and artillery too, that is poorly represented by only a T34, IS 2 and BT7.....they really could use more sorts of vehicles ingame also.

Most of all ofcourse i'd like to see the heavy SU and ISU assault gun/tank destroyers making short work of Tigers, Panthers and even King Tigers.....

And Russians used so much artillery like no other army in the world.......that destroyed tank page i linked in another thread is full of german tanks caught by heavy artillery fire, and for a fact also many field guns.

I've seen a picture of a Tiger I knocked over, lying upside down after massive soviet artillery, i think it was from Kursk but i don't remember. Anyone seen that one? And maybe have a link to this picture. It really shows the force of heavy artillery. /Flunken
