'[SYN hydraSlav']BF42 cannot represent a major base, therefore there should be none. The next installment of BF42 (or an overrated expansion pack, call it whatever you want), BFV, illiminated "uncapp" bases from the game completely. All bases are capturable, some just take much longer to cap. The upcoming BF2 (to which FH will move) is following the same principle with flags, so there won't be any uncapp bases in BF2 either. It's obvious that uncapp bases in BF42 are a mistake, since Dice is no longer supporting them. They don't have defenders which they should have had. And it's impossible to cut them off from reinforcements. Therefore, we will have to just work around that mistake untill FH moves to an engine that fixed it.

uncaps are NOT ABANDONED, so your entire argumentation is flawed. it is understandable for vietnam, as it is more guerilla warfare to it, but a war such as WWII should have major bases, and the other team should stay out of it!

thats a bfv map, isnt it? i guess they DO have uncappables lol and how would you know if bf2, is or isnt gonna have uncappables.. i dont see your name on the dev team

oh your right... i was thinking vietnam for some reason. when i saw chinese lol (there was red army activity in nam btw) but still bf2 has uncappables then...if thats a ingame map from bf2 my whole point was.... hydra there's still uncappables beyond org. bf1942. bf2 has them apparently. (ya i thought it was a bfv map) i guess they wernt gotten rid of by dice.

That's what might be in the release.

If you read the interviews, Dice said that flags capturing will done in a manner similar to BFV. In BFV, firstly, the more people there are at a flag, the faster it turns; secondly, important flags take much longer time to cap (2 mins).

For all we know, that "map" might be showing those "2 min" flags, as compared to the usual "30 sec" flags.

those are different games, anyway. with different warfare themes (guerilla warefare)from a different period in time. fh maps are a different matter altogether. they include uncappables. and many of those uncappable bases are meant to represent historically heavily defended areas. thus the reason they were made uncappable and not cappable. and also many uncappable bases arent set up to be attacked basecamper style. they have exposed "in the open" soldier spawns, for rapid movement out of base and so on. if you examine maps, and compare the setup differences between cappable and uncappable bases. you will notice, soldier spawns are spread out much differently. with cappable bases less exposed to mass spawnkilling. in short, uncappables arent even setup properly for basecamping inclusion. if there was a vote to eliminate basecamping. then ill bet basecamping would be gone. because most people HATE basecamping.

You can't kill basecampers? Go play on server that doesn't allow it. Include this "patch" as a server side option for those servers. And stop trying to ruin the game for those that want to get the maximum out of it.

not all BF2 maps include uncapturable bases, so it seems they have done the best from both, instead of locking onto just a single solution.

and what is a basecamper going to do to help a team? 20 kills out of 386 on the team? it's not about "kill the base-camper", you would have dogs to do that! thing is, battlefield doesn't support angry nasty beasty dogs. so let the clan communities make their own serverpatch if the so desperately need to basecamp! clan-fighting seems so rigid, they're better off with Ludo than something that changes as constantly as a war...... :rolleyes:

well if it came down to them (clans making there own patch to allow basecamp) then i guess theres not much that can be done to stop them... i still want to see it made impossible, if possible. really the rules on clan play are set by the league (different leagues= different rules) twl rules are quite different then cal rules for instance. so its not up to any particular clan anyway (the rules)

there is nothing fucking wrong with basecamping, dont like it spawn somwhere else. im sick of these people whining about basecamping, war is not fair, military bases got bombed/infiltrated, live with it. when i was in Recon group of my clan. basecamping was a large part of my job and i liked it, sabotaging the enemy base. War is not a line against line engagement, your tanks did get screwed over by saboteurs.

On servers i tend to shoot anyone whining about basecamping, teammate or not. anyone know what happened to the 22nd Panzer btw?
