I remember a couple of days after BF 2 was released, a crack hit the net that allowed server admins to host servers with up to 255 players (theoreticly). Now of course very few machines could handle 255 players but I was wondering if the FH team might consider increasing the max. player size a little. After all, originaly DICE wanted to support up to 100 players and did say in an interview, that the engine does support it. Now I believe some maps would really improve with an increased number of players. Thats why I would encourage FH 2 to support up to 80 players on some maps. If it works, then one could even think of increasing it up to 100 players as originaly intended by DICE.

Yeah, i noticed those 200+ servers out there, never tried them. The engine is capable of handling 100+ players, dice however, in their infinite wisdom, moved it down to 65 because more then that "wasnt fun". A 50 vs 50 Berlin map sounds fun.. :)

I think their definition of fun is skewed a bit. I'd love to see more players battling it out at once. As long as the server isn't lagging to hell, then go for it.

My God man. It would be orgasmic. All we need is enough people with, lets say 'above average comps' to fill up a server. DAMN. I want it, just to look out over a battlefield and see a helluva lot of people running or driving to the front, and of course the battles. I quote Neighbor Kid here... only if....

If there were some way of getting things to play out like a real battle would...I think we'd have a revolution on our hands...

Doesn't a game like Joint Ops allow for server populations larger than 64 players? Using this as a rough apples-to-apples comparison I don't see why it couldn't work. I'm not extremely familiar with Joint Ops, I had played the demo, some may say it's not as pretty graphically but from what I remember is wasn't 'ugly'.

I have played many a game of JO with 149 other players and the fighting can be really intense on the player and the PC (expect a lower fps in around the CPs). I like the sound of having more players, but Fh as a mod can only really make the maps ready for such high numbers it's the servers that are going host the maps that this idea kinda depends on.
