So I was just browsing around the FH2 wiki, looking at all the nice little kit goodies that the devs made up for us, when a came across this... British Kits - Forgotten Hope Wiki (at the very bottom of the page) That's right, a British deployable 3in. mortar kit... now please don't kill me if someone already found this, but I have yet to see or hear about it. But apparently, upon further searching, the kit is located at Rommel's Command Bunker on Mareth Line... and I tried searching for it by creating a local game, but I think the only way to get it is to have the British capture the flag first (which I can't do localy) But knowing about the existence of this kit arises many many questions... where is it exaty? how doesit work; is it like FH1 where you just click the "fire" button and it deploys in so you can "enter" it? and if so... why don't the devs do that with large machine guns like in FH1? and has anyone ever seen it? Any answers would be helpful... and please feel free to discuss this.

Am I wrong or is this mortar on many maps? Mareth line? Gazala? El Alamein?

I have seen it (don't ask me which map or when it spawned I wouldn't know), you basically "throw" it (like a mine or mineflag) and then you can enter it (with the default enter vehicle key) and use it like a mortar. Oh and their are more kits out there that work on a simular basis...

My mind is a bit foggy though and thus I don't really remember much related to this kit. :( I might even be confusing it with sme German kit. Hehe, to be honest all I know is that I saw a mortar kit but that's about it.. it must have been a long time ago.. =p

There's no deployable mortar kit, whoever wrote that on the wiki made it up.

Ok now I'm very confused, did anyone else catch Lightning's post in this thread?... he said that whoever put that in the wiki made it up... but then like 5 sec later his post was gone from the thread lol... did anyone else catch that?

Yeah, I checked my FH2 build, didn't find it, so I posted that.

Then I noticed Donuts's post, looked again and found it. I was just looking in the wrong directory before. Anyway, yes, there is a mortar kit and no, I've never seen it before.

That kit is in the build but does nothing useful -- it has no deployable mortar in the kit -- and is not placed anywhere. Internally we are currently testing a deployable LMG (the Vickers 303 tripod, which already is public versions as a static gun) which has yielded good results. It's certainly no worse than the FH42 deployables so you might expect more things in this vein.

And to you ctz.... mu God, you're amazing, a vickers tripod deployable?... if you can get it to work then that would be amazing, and you could then make mortars deployable and stuff too!... you're my hero ctz, and I'd love to see it if it works

We will see Lewis .303 Mk. I Model 1915 for support class ? It will be great to see it deployable like the mg34. It will be great to see it not only as a static gun.
