Is there a way to manually edit in a new theme song or map loading song? The current one is OK but it'd be better with Barber's Adagio For Strings. As a sidenote, are the devs considering new theme music? If so I'd like to nominate this song. I think it is quite solemn and fitting, if decidedly less upbeat about the whole ordeal.

If you don't know what song I'm talking about, go here to download it (7.6MB).

Yeah, lots. Not very many available for free download though. I'm still a complete newb to classical music, so I don't know any good online resources. I only have one store-bought classical work, which is Beethoven's Complete String Quartets. Incredibly good. It has the piece that the four violinists play at the beginning of Episode Nine of Band of Brothers, when they're surrounded by the rubble of a village and the villagers are picking through the remnants. Powerfull stuff.

The only reason why the FH team might want to change the song is because the song belongs to Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Spearhead. (That is unless the team has permission from EA or Giacchino or whoever, I don't know this.) However, I like the current theme. If you want to change it though, google up "RAD Video Tools", download and install it, select your song (preferrably in WAV or Mp3 format) then click "Bink It!" Then, it will become a bink file. Now, rename it to "Slaughter4" and put it in the Music folder of your FH mod folder. Voila - black and white war footage to the tune of Adagio for Strings. Oh, here's another song, which I believe is in the 28 Days Later soundtrack: Anyway, these songs are good, but not for a war game - they're too somber. Music from Medal of Honor or Call of Duty would be better.

I mean no disrespect with my opinion or questions, but, I really enjoyed XWW2's loading music. I thought the way the game was constructed was a waste of effort, but if I played it, I only played it to hear their loading track.. I want that track. Anybody? Anywhere? If you still have that mod on your computer, let me know. Or, tell me where I could get that theme... and if it's an actual song they took from somewhere, also, that would be nice. I'm a huge classical music fan (something about classical mixed with Gods greatest greenest plant just appeases me).. so if your interested in a few good tracks to listen to, let me know, I'll gladly supply you with a few titles to locate. - I live a thousand times, and it's always like the very first time.

I think I would prefer more "Heroic" music. I cant think of anything off the top of my head, but something heavy and quick in the brass.

Barber's Adagio for Strings!!!??? You've gotta be joking!! Slush. Pointless, sentimental slush. Full stop.

Here's one for you:

Shostakovich, Dmitri. Symphony No.7, the "Leningrad Symphony". First Movement. Development section, i.e. the middle part.

Written in Wehrmacht-besieged Leningrad as anti-Nazi propoganda. What could be more appropriate?

Check out this thread for more info:

Ambient Russian defiance in Leningrad

Highly recommended listening! :D

NO MORE MOH SONGS! They are lame, boring, and all the same. For God's sake, and our ears' as well, use real WW2 music.

What I would like to see is for some maps to play certain songs, while another has a different on. Say Karelia plays Finlandia, and Prohorkovoka plays The Sacred War.
