PzReg1|BUGS*****GENERAL AGREEMENT FOR CONTENT SPONSORING FROM PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE FH MOD TEAM*V1.0* DATE 30/12/2004**** 1. CONTENT SPONSORING Everyone who wants to sponsor content has to read & sign the "GENERAL AGREEMENT FOR CONTENT SPONSORING FROM PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE FH MOD TEAM" before the FH mod takes & uses his/her content. 2. GENERAL CONTENT RIGHTS If you spend content (like new textures ... a map ... vehicle etc.) to the Forgotten Hope moification (FH mod / FH) then you fully agree that all rights of the stuff you create for the mod belong to the Forgotten Hope mod team. Once given to FH - FH owns the content.

Yeah, something like that, people refuse to sign that? :uhoh:

Once given to FH - FH owns the content.... ...and if you think die!_runaway.gif(FH Mafia)winkx.gif Seems reasonable. Cant find a loophole in that; especially if you have a lawyer write up the contract. :deal:

For sure the donator will still be able to sell, change or whatever his stuff on its own. But the stuff within FH will be for our full service that way. And many ppl dislike not having full control on things created by themselves.

The 13th RaptorI wish the devs would tell us why they dont, as they insist on keeping crap like Dice's kharkov in, and bocage, while there are so many better fan maps..
They dont "insist", they merely give support to the map to give the players more options when playing the mod. Its a GOOD thing, and a generous thing. What they are failing on is using the feedback from players to balance these maps and make them at least playable. I know they dont put any work into them because they are DICE maps, but the players post the balance issues in Suggestions, post feasible and proper fixes, and ... nothing is done because they are DICE maps. They don't need to be removed. All they need is for someone to read the Suggestions forum and fix them. It dosent take long. Not at all, once the hard part of figuring out what needs to be changed is done and thats what the players have done.
Yeah, something like that, people refuse to sign that?

Its the only way to avoid the crap they have had with other mods like Merciless. If they put a blanket "Its ours if you give it to us, END OF STORY" clause down, there's no more arguments or crap that requires them to sift through and get all of merciless's stuff out and spend time retro-developing the mod. Its a good move and I like it. If people aren't ready to give their stuff permanently to the mod, they wont.

Its good to hear that you're encouraging people to submit custom maps to FH, as there are some real beauties out there. Hmmm I'm sorely tempted to try building my own take on a Berlin map...

Seems like lots of people like the customs but few play them. Since very few seem to read the advertising & clan section and this topic is exactly about custom maps, I think it is appropriate for me to point to my post in that section Customs included in rotation Its been popular with those that have joined the server, but we could always use more players.smilie.gifcya.gif

I like all the maps in the mappack and think that they shouldnt disappear from the server rotations. So Yes, I do support the idea of taking as many maps as possible from the mappack to the official release and give as much of official support the future fan projects so the great works of the public wont go for the dogs.
