Very nice, best lot of statics yet. This is one of the few true total conversion mods for BF2. My Phazon sense is tingling, I have a feeling the next update has something to do with playermodels. ;)

This can't be done in one month, no matter how many Quakes or BF2142's are released.

Nice update as always !! It seems that Lobo does more work then the most mod-teams in a whole month  .

Making aditional teams is very well possible but you will not see civilians in FH. The mod is war orientated and playing as a civilian would not fit in that scenario. Including them as AI won't be done either, again since this is a "war game" and civilian casualties may be too offending to some people. It's a game, we try to keep this war clean. For this same reason you won't see any extermination squads or anything like that ingame.

So are we going to see more then just 1 map with a bunch of statics and vehicle placements? I don't mean to sound crude, but given how long you folks have been working on this, how many models that you only need to port over to the bf2 engine, and the fact that we're hitting the 1 year anniv of bf2, it seems to be only 1 maybe 2 maps so far, a handful of vehicles, and a few statics. In comparison to other mods like POE2, for example, who has all vehicles pretty much done (From scratch), player models done (not completely from scratch but pretty close), and 9-10 maps done with modifying all statics (from scratch), a crap load of new ones, and even new environment changes right down to the grass(from scratch), with 2 or 3 new game modes. Timeline has been similar, and team size is close to the same as well. They are looking to be in a much better place right now then FH, and I'm lost with how, if at all, this mod is truely progressing. Yes I know this is being done for free, and yes I know its done on their own time, I have even told people to stuff it for asking when, but I am NOT asking when, I am simply pointing out that FH doesn't seem to be making much headway in comparison to the other mods being created right now, and I was simply wondering what the reason was. It may be as simple as "There are actually 7 different maps that we've shown, its just that they are all desert and look similar" or "Its actually only 1 map, but we are focusing on other areas right now" Just wondering.

Not to put POE down, but their models are of less quality than FH2's in many cases, POE can release whenever they think they have enough vehicles and guns and they can make it work, but FH2 is suppost to be a convincing wwII experience, you cant have that without sertain vehicles, guns and statics. Progress is most sertainly being made.

hotsynchow many models that you only need to port over to the bf2 engine

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that EA/DICE has requested that nothing (models) be ported directly from bf1942, and FH has chosen to comply with this request. I believe anything that FH did both a new model and skin for is fair game, but anything they just re-skinned (many vehicles) needs to be redone from scratch.

hotsyncSo are we going to see more then just 1 map with a bunch of statics and vehicle placements?

No the map shown in updates is a test map, you'll get to see the real maps when they are nearly done and probably only need balance testing. Remember that FH maps are based on real battles and thus the artistic license is alot more restricted than other mods.

Same as above but if you check this thread by NCOL to see what vehicles/weapons are ingame (or ready to be put ingame), there are alot of them done already.

PoE can build fantasy maps without having to do any research on historical accuracy. PoE has only reskinned the playermodels and can use pretty much all the animations from vanilla for their weapons. So you can't really compare them that easily. Modding a modern game to a modern mod takes less work than modding a modern game to a WW2 mod. Btw. I don't think PoE's quality is any less than FH's quality tbh.

From what signs do you draw this conclusion, there is not a single mod that shows updates and content as regularly as FH2.

It may be as simple as "There are actually 7 different maps that we've shown, its just that they are all desert and look similar" or "Its actually only 1 map, but we are focusing on other areas right now"

Again test map in updates.

Just wondering.

No problem, hope I answered some questions.

Btw. not a dev so any answers given by me are not to be taken as fact but are more my guesses.
