seeing as how bf2 has a more "advanced" physics system than b42, mods have started doing some interesting things. i came across this video for a japense mod "cqb" where they have a soccerball. while this might not be so amazing, the way ball objects like this can be used in-game intruiged me to some possibilities to add to gameplay.

just like how physics added alot to HL2, i think it would be great to take advantage of it here as well. i cant really think of anything ww2 related a ball-object could be used for, maybe later in the point-du-hoc level, some bombs germans roll down? maybe for underground rebels to use to bomb unsuspecting german convoys? i cant be very creative but just wondering if anyone else had any ideas.

We have already something similar, in some of our pics you can see barrels bundles, those barrels have physics, if you shoot them they move, the effect is totally convincing

Ooooh! You need Duke Nukem 3D-style barrels that explode!

Can we drop flower pots on people from upstairs?

Lol, falling flowerpots of doom!

Hmm, back on topic, would it be possible using this gameplay mechanic to create an avalanche or a rockslide or something along those lines? Maybe it could be triggered by an explosion, say, a couple of shells or some plastique.

Thats an awesome Idea! Think of it! The German blow up a canyon in the Kasserine pass so the Americans have to find another way around! GENIUS.

I love that idea, but then how would you clear the rubble? Then we would need a sherman bulldozer tank... *hint**hint*

Depth charges could have that feature, rolling off of the racks and sinking.

Other than that, I can't think of anything:o.

Or they can randomly clip trough the racks and explode on deck:D

Seriously though, i'm all for these sort of things, anything that makes the world more interactive is a good thing. :nodding:

Just something that comes to mind how about a 'dam busters' map with the famous bouncing bomb!
