Big LeBowSkithe devs could make a night time Seelow-Hights map where the russain main attack took place under the light of hundreds of projector lights aimed at the germans to blind them..it dident quite work the way the russians had thought.. but it would defently be cool.

Ya i herd about that, it silhouetted all the Russian units and made them easy targets for the Germans. opps... Search lights would be sweet on any night map but especially on maps like bombing the Reich or a D-day paratrooper map at night. Flares wuold be really cool for night maps. I dont think search lights or narrow beams of light would be too much for a computer to handle but flares that light up much of the environment would probably really tax a computer. The little camp fires you see in FH would be cool on night maps too but would make an easy target for anyone around it.

Which would make sure people used light discipline and stayed away from lit areas in night combat.

WintherNow we can get those big search lights to work. On one tower they could make one "vehicle" where number 1 slot is an MG 42 and the other one is a search light. So the one in the second position is searching for enemies, lighting them up, and the other one kills them. Then the searcher will also get drivers assist.

That's actually a really good idea. Or you could make a Searchlight/Flak combo on a "bombing the Reich" type map.

FactionReconJust imagine tracer fire through the night! *gitters*

Yep, I thought about tracers too. They would look cool indeed! A negative - follow the tracer to the source and you will find the shooter. This may be a must on a nite map where you truly could not see 20 yards (whatever the distance) in front of you.

Yes and having headlights on a truck such as a Obelblitz and headlights on tanks

Isnt it posible to use (in bf2) the X button to light the headlights and swith them of ? ( Like in a tank you drop smokes and in a airplane/helicopter flares. )
