The only tanks that are so strong are the Tiger 1 and King Tiger. All the others are fairly easy kills from the sides and rear, more or less. You just need to attend tank school first....

Feri killed a tiger with a stuart shooting him twice ON THE TOP OF IT. :)

thats because the top of a tiger is where it is most vulerable, that or the bottom, thats where the armor is the weakest. I took out an M10 from the top with one shot from a bazooka:beer:

Count NosferatuHahaha you take your KT... I'll take my M10, we'll see who knocks each other out at long range :) But seriously, you are in fact not using your wits enough. Since when can an armoured car take out a heavy tank in real life [unless you catch the crew camping or get a very very very lucky hit on the exhaust]? For lesser tanks like Shermans, use the terrain. Its actually easier being Allies than Axis because most of the time the axis tank drivers believe themselves to be invincible and drive across open terrain guns blazing as opposed to sneaking around and using the terrain to their advantage. There are exceptions to this of course and I have seen many people from this forum stalk properly with their tank.

Technically, the M10 has the bigger gun. Its 90mm against a 88mm. Sorry, but no. Tatics work well, just with common sense. Dont go out hunting tanks in a Sherman. Park yours somewhere where it cant be seen and wait for that Panzer to drive in front of you.

Well, there IS the Churchill. I know it's slow; but it's tougher than any of the other "Medium Tanks" when it comes to takin' a lickin'. Anybody else feel more confident in "Apollo" when they are engaging a Tiger? Obviously it's still about tactics: But if you get a couple of side shots; your in the "Catbird Seat". I don't see how a guy can get 7shots on a Crusader and not kill it: unless he was just shooting the front armour. Crusader is made out of old SPAM cans.:D Even the 37mm will kill it with 2-3 to the side...

Please dont get upset when I tell you a M10 has the 76mm and the M36 has the 90mm gun.

Even with a 76mm or 90mm gun Im still gonna go for a side shot if I can get it. IRL 76mm wasnt worth squat against the front of the Tiger or Panther. That was one of the main reasons Soviets switched to 85mm on T-34 and US switched to 90mm on M36.

I get those two confused often when I lack a picture... I generally go by Wolverine and Jackson. But then again, I'm just a confused person :clueless:

Churchill is awesome in the proper hands (me) if it is used to pick off weak German tanks like Pz IV Hs, Stugs and sometimes Panthers. Its gun reloads about as fast as the German ones which is saying alot. It can take an quite a beating and has a pretty low profile and good camo scheme which make it a damn good tank to use on Breakthrough. I use this tank once the Southwestern flag is capped by the Allies.

well as orginally pointed out, if you hit armor with a gun that wont penetrate it dosent matter. However, this does mask that in rl such vehicles could de-track a tank and cause a mobility kill.

Unfortuenly I dunno of, or have hear do any way that mobility kills can be done with out 'hurting the tank' the only thing I can think woul dbe to make treads more vunerable. IF you consider the tracks as part of the tanks 'health' then it make sense that smaller guns 20mm etc could deal a small damage (say a few percent) in recoginition of the potential mobilty kill.

The tracks could mostly stand up to small arms, and probalby even a lot of 50 call but cannon fire is going to do some damage to those links I think.

I would also like to think that repeatedly hitting a tank in the same place over and over, regardless of weapon, will eventually penetrate. It is not hit or miss as some of you make it sound like it should.
