Hahaha,ok I just got off a server and there was this guy called "Rambo" who was yelling for us to put parachutes in ..oh I swear I couldn't breathe. Now I'm sure everyone else has seen some person in a JU52 on crete without a parachuting kit, right? Yes I know you all have..The mg34 whores get what they deserve on that map, aye :nodding:

Contrary to popular believe entering a JU 52 without a paratrooper kit does not have to be lethal at all......

It only requires to grab control of the plane ( if you were not in control already ) when the pilot bails, and land that transport somewhere on Crete.

Brick like FH 0.6 flight physics didn't at all make landing more difficult then in FH 0.5, or impossible at all.

All it takes is shutting down throttle to neutral well before decending and keeping it from stalling when gently gliding down. Provided the impact on the landing gear is not too hard, you can set that JU 52 down in most of the rough Crete terrain even on mountain ridges or fields with objects......so what if it can't fly out of there anymore.....a pilot ditching the transport is the same thing, and that requires no piloting skill......

Alternatively if landing on ground is too dangerous, regular players must have noticed in bf1942/FH you can water ditch aircraft fairly easy and survive. Piece of cake ditching the Ju 52 short distance off the coast and have a little swim......doesn't attract so much attention as parachuting anyway....

Yeah, I always love seeing these pilots bail out of their planes over a base or aircraftcarrier just to fall from the sky like "broken birds". Then you just see them comming closer to the ground, closer and closer, and then a grey message appears in the top left saying "Dumbass is no more". I love that ! And then a few moments later you´ll get a message like: "WTF I pressed 9" , or "WTF, no parachutes ?" Normaly someone is good enough then to tell them about the pilot kits...

I'll give you that but when's the last time you saw a n00b land a plane?

On most carriers there are no pilot kits......or selectable pilotclass.....

That is because apparently they fall through the deck if placed there......so all who take aircraft better learn to ditch their plane in the water ( and survive ) near a carrier or the (is)land beaches, or land it on the carrier when the plane took near critical damage.

That is one of the reasons why i think it is very bad there is no repair facility on a carrier.......or capacity to take in returning aircraft.

Seems the general idea is : you take a plane, then you die in it.....But good pilots can survive nevertheless, by ditching in water or landing it at the carrier and destroying the wreckage, to make the flight deck clear again.....if they didn't collide into taking off aircraft first.......this situation is far from ideal and far from true to real life.

It is......vanilla arcade.....

FH devs should make it a study how carriers and airfield can be improved to take in returning aircraft in a relative safe from collision way and have a repair facility. That is the diffrence of a realism mod and an arcade shooter.

Hmm... in early versions of BF, kits fell through everything (floors on Stallingrad, Carrier decks, etc). However, one of the later patches fixed that problem... maybe the FH devs messed up something

Right now Crete is not enjoyable anyway.

Too many AA-guns vs too few planes!

This map needs a workout.

Further there where actually paratroopers with Machineguns, even the Germans had some.

Like US paratroopers equipped with M1919.

So I think this should be changed.

I think all the classes on crete should be paratroopers.
