is-2s are insane. lol its armor is so much stronger than any other tank in the game, except for the sweet spot. but thats hard enough to hit when ur in another tank, espically at long distance no less. but it is a good tank and a bastard to kill

The IS-2 (or any other tanks by any means) has no place on Karelia. There shouldn´t be any armour on that map.

I´m also missing a fair amount of IS-2s, as it seems the Devs prefer Normandie tank battles to russian ones. And that, even though Normandie had very few real tank-battles...

The tank is still in Karelia? Weird... Haven't seen it there after 0.65...

I'm waiting for a real good russian tank map but I'll patiently wait till some SU and ISUs are done so it will be really fun. Picture Citadel on BG with better models and textures and a little more flat land. OMG that would rock.

Not really Bobby, since the map balance will probably consist of T34s & KV1s on a 1:1 with Panthers and Tigers :|

Just been watching a docu' on Hoths fight down at Prokorovkha. The Soviets had over 850 tanks + reserves against only 350 serviced German tanks (without reserves) according to good ole' Discovery. The favourite tactics of the Soviets in the "main event" was simply to flood into the German lines through numbers, which you couldn't do in an FH map because they'll place equal numbers of tanks. The second was to ram Tigers and Panthers head on, knowing full well that those German tanks were unlikely to ever be replaced.

Karelia should definitely have one of the KVs instead of JS-2.

Yeah....the was a German survivor of the East front on Discovery, and he told at one occasion ( he was with the not surrounded german army groups near Stalingrad that were to break the enciclement of their trapped comrades, but never did ) the Russians attacked their position with hundred thousands of infantry !

He said that all the fields on the horizon were filled with running humans, ( on the scale of lord of the ring movie battles so to speak ) He never felt in so a tight position eventhough they were well equipped with tanks, field guns, mortars and heavy artillery, ammo and fuel but that was nowhere near enough to even slow down that mass.

They ofcourse were overun completely and fled. The Russian strenght was quantity.....even more so then the Americans.
