FF|cihsetIs it just me who is disturbed by when you take the first flag (on both omaha's) you gain almost nothing.

On Omaha-1944 the axis get the BrowningMG when you cap the left flag...

They are adding a concrete shingle in .62 that the allies have to bust to move through. If you (devs) create a flag at the breaching point of the seawall where the allies can spawn at once they have capped, most of the problems should disapear. atlanticwall.jpg AtlanticwallWreck.jpg Though i have to admit, i have never seen the axis win Omaha '44.

ya actually after playing Omaha again tonight I do have to agree with Judge. UPDATED- so the map order could be like this next June. (.72, .8 or something along those lines) Omaha-Charlie sector -a beach map with with the seawall and bangalores needed (just rework Omaha and make it better for Allies) -Utah -a Point Du Hoc or something -Juno Gold (hopefully revised or something, it looks great but plays wierd) -Sword (if it was different then gold) -a Pegasus bridge (Malsa, we love you!) -some D-Day paratrooper maps (day and night) hopefully they all play different and if not the get rid of some of them.

OhioanI'm sick of linear turkey-shoot maps. I'm also sick of infantry maps. No more beach landings without DD Tanks for the love of god! Infantry either just camp the beach or die, or both, while some axis dork ends up with a 50 to 2 score.

The maps are no fun to play, because there's no flanking and no strategy. You just rush the beach or skirt along the edges and hope the MG whores kill someone else and not you. Then when you get to the bunker you spam some nades, walk in, and then die. Its a neverending cycle of getting killed without any chance of a breakthrough unless the axis really screw up (which happens a lot on pubs).

The less of these maps the better, FH has a ton of vehicles to use and more maps should feature them.

I liked the map quality of the new D Day map a lot, but the gameplay for allies......just like you said.

Bf1942 is diffrent because it has VEHICLES and some devs just aren't using that gamefeature, while the moddlers have created so many excellent models. It is my opinion FH devs making all those infantry based D Day maps are heavily influneced by "saving private Ryan" and "Band of Brothers" but they forget these are movies and series seen through the eyes of an infantry company......that is not representative of what happens on that day or in the war in the larger picture, FH should feature because of all the VEHICLES.

D Day was not only the first waves of infantry landing on the beach, it was THE LARGEST ARMADA THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN. Thousands of ships were used to carry the troops over, and every single battleship, cruiser, monitor and destroyer were there to shock and destroy bunkers, and disrupt reinforcements. That is represented by 3 small landingcraft and her and there a larger landingcraft with a few trucks ?

There is no way to win if the Germans are not predictable manning the mg where they can be shot out of by BAR and garand fire, but defend the chokepoints leadin up in force........no allied soldier ever will make it. That is why these maps need naval artillery......at least the germans will be confined to their bunkers.

I hope the devs saw "the longest day" too, and saw the larger picture beyond the eyes of a small infantry company. That is what FH maps should be all about, FH is not infantry only by nature like MOHAA, COD or RTCW.

Btw : Whatever happend to those bangalores supposed to be in FH and part of the "road to FH 0.6 ?"

add more Charlie types maps since it way more fun for allies on that map and not like the old Omaha wich sucked ..

Sword and Juno would be fun as there was houses on the beach front that the axis garrisoned, would amake for a real fun "last Stand" sort of map

I also find most of the beach levels a little repetitive when playing as allied - as has been said a spawn point at the beach wall would be good... Also, although I always thought it would be a good idea, the ambient sounds on Charlie are a bit distracting.. although I like the random shell explosions :) As has been stated here, maybe vehicles for the allies would help as well...? Don't get me wrong; the quality of the maps is excellent, but I think they need tweaking to stop them getting repetitive.

I'm also sick and tired of running and dieing all the time, so redo Omaha Beach 1944 and rename it, then maybe do Juno or Sword since they would be more like Gold.

Your are supposed to get raped in the beginning...

there is no way those maps can be won against a good, coordinated defending Axis team, period (h*ll even an average team is enough). But on pubs people mostly screw up so that's why it ends with allied victories.

I agree, i might need a little more balance, but the allies still would need to get raped at the start of the map. Only when you breach the bunkers things should change. Ands that like it is now, i like it this way although minor tweaks (maybe adding battleship support) will ne neccary.
