concerning the screenshots taken for the news updates.. what graphics settings are the FH devs using when they take the shots.. like .. everything on high and such..

i was only curious.. i heard something about being able to add an "extra high" option from editing the con files.. i'm too scared to try that though..

According to tweakguides.com, that option doesn't work anymore (it was removed in 1.3 or so). But according to the same place, it didn't make much of a difference anyway.

It is always possible to enforce other rendering options in graphics card control panel - the way it was done with FH screens.

CRTs are not a problem, infact it's alot cheaper to get a high resolution and better than LCD CRT monitor.;) I think they use this resolution as a compromise for people viewing updates. If the pic is too big it's getting resized to smaller, but after that operation in the browser it doesn't look very good.

CRTs are in fact, excellent for gaming, better than LCDs in most respects, but the one drawback is the lack of size. my '19 CRT really feels to small sometimes. For true size, you need a projector.

Since that topic is already open, i have a question too: Why isn't AA turned on for the screenshots?
