OhioanNo one wants a 1941 Tiger, they just want a Desert Map anti tank unit that won't be rare as hell like the Panzer IV F2 or 1 of the 6 Tigers used in Tunisia.

It was also a VERY common tank, a huge staple of the German war machine. Marders would be nice but I don't think they saw much desert action.

Workhorse is a better description. Yet I think the only way the devs will get them into the game is if they do some BoF maps. I suspect it will be near .7 before we'll get a lookin.

Just on a side note Marder IIs (or was it IIIs) saw action in tunisia.

Edit: Ahh according to achtungpanzer they reached North Africa from July 1942 to November which would put it in time for the Battle of El Alamien.

zero_zeroDidn't know there was a train version of the PZIII.

While I know you're referring to "wagon", there actually WAS a "train version" of the PZIII. "In October of 1943, prototype of PzKpfw III Ausf N als Schienen-Kettenfahrzeug was tested. Three Ausf Ns (mounted with railway suspension by Sauer Werke of Vienna) were converted to travel by rail at maximum speed of 100km/h. They were to be used to protect the rail network behind the frontlines in East. Only three prototypes were produced but further development of this project was cancelled." Lesson? Learn your WWII history before trying to make funny remarks like that ;) LaDigue
