The Jackalx2kOk let's clear this up.

BOW, the picture you posted is of the "Dora." The "Paris Gun" was really long. It's the first picture that Dawson posted. The Dora had an 800mm cannon. Btw before you go thinking the germans made the biggest cannon I'm not sure if you guys have read up on the 1000mm cannon that Sadam built. ;)

As Silent AssassiN said the Germans still hold the record for largest gun, it was never completed before being destroy by Isreal.

Wasn't destroyed by Isreal. It was destroyed by UN inspectors from what I remember. Sadam tried saying they were oil pipes hehe.

But yeah it might not have been completed but it was put together. On the history channel they had some show on cannons (god that channel rocks) and they had the barrel leaning against a whole mountain.

Such a stupid idea on Sadam's part. Something that big that isn't movable would be bombed so fast.

Chaps aren't you all forgetting something.... range? Just as I don't play most WWII RTS because they are totally inaccurate concerning gun range so too would a railway based gun be totally inaccurate because of range issues. We're talking about something that can hit targets in England from France... no maps in the Refraction 2 engine are that big yet. Besides defending a railway gun, though cool at first would grow real boring real quick [as anyone who plays RTCW ET will attest]

Thats one big ass gun, it would be a great tourist attraction, you charge so much for letting people sit on it so they can feel the power between there legs.:naughty:
