I was sure the map was unbalanced at first but after playing it twice I discovered that while it is hard to win for the brits, its not impossible. First, you must use the hedgerows to get to the bunker, germans have trouble seeing you there. Use the mortar and rifle grenades to clean the bunker. Then, when you (finally) get the bunker, use the pak AT gun to clean the other side. Have a few guys with No4 kill the MGs. Once crossing the bridge is "safe", cross it. Then the panzers will arrive, grab the AT and do it all over again if you lose flags.

Komrad, is it that great of an idea to let your tactics be known to the public? Remember, half of your audience plays for the Axis...

I would replace the the pick up m1 garands for the Brit's with m1 carbines as they were a more common with the Paras and Commandos than Garands. Also give both sides a sniper kit or two.

Its not like I was giving any really secret or 1337 tricks here :uhm: . Most allied players will understand that after two rounds.

Yeah, plus just by being pushed back to that last spawn the only two places you can go without getting killed is extreme right or sometimes extreme left, or else you have 2 mg42's and swarms krauts shooting at you down the center. The fastest way isn't always the best.

And also, some times as is the case, when I played the map, when the allies manged to get the bunker, they were counterattack and pushed back to the original spawn, and then even with the anti camp mod, due to the openess of the spawn brits were getting slaughtered at spawn, a successful recapture of the bunker simply took more luck than skill, and when the bunker was capped(through a bit of charging with the sten an some spray and pray) the map changed.

These new maps will require coordinated attacks for success. They are designed with group tactics in mind. Charlie Sector is another example of this type of map. It requires a real team effort on the part of both teams to win. although they're less forgiving for the attacking teams, and so it should be. its up to them to attack and overwhelm the enemy. and only as desperate of a defence will repel, such attacks.

It is just a matter of being aggressive. Take advantage of the Garand and Thompson kits at your spawn get some mortars on the German positions and as soon as you cap it. Move the mortars and start pounding the positions also don't for get to use the 50mm gun as well mortars are better though since they take out the MG positions easier. Keep in mind that there is a .30 cal pick up kit at your spawn as well the kit also has two mines place those on the bridge to stop germans in civilian cars. Also if the Germans are attacking set up the MG south of the bridge next to the wooden barricade to mow Germans down.

If you do cap the flag across the bridge make sure you take Faust and PIAT kits along too.
