I agree that there shouldn't be a land to reload. And there must be a way to make bombs have momentum, would make them a lot more predictable.

To say it straight out, how it currently is planes suck and are unbalanced.

Braun;4119613And not every tank got bombed by planes in real life either. Last time I checked tanks were meant to control landscape. I don't see what you are saying here, what you describe is exactly how it should be.

Quite a few tanks were bombed by planes. I drive tanks a lot in FH2 and have yet to been bombed. Now from a realism point of view, you'd have to land to reload, but from a historically accurate point of view tanks were sometimes actually bombed.This is an issue that will have to be tweaked, tested, tweaked, tested till perfection. There is a large amount of complaints from even long time FH fans, so the devs will almost have to address it.

@RBS:

just to state: i am quite an efficient BF2 pilot, but thats not the point. of course my assumption in the above mentioned arguments was that the pilot can do his job and kill the target most of the time. nontheless even a somewhat giftet (bomber)pilot is not able to influence the outcome of the battle in any significant way. and thats NOT how it should be.

@braun: if planes had the same influence in WW2 as they have in FH2, the war might have ended in a different way.

You just havent been bombed/straffed by a good pilot yet. :D I have no problem bombing/straffing stuff. My only complaint is that plane to plane combat needs to be beefed up. The planes are too tough, you cant shoot them down, unless the guy lets you hit him with everything. But who's gonna do that? I dont find landing all that difficult, but i have a really good joystick. So, I would agree the landing strips could maybe use to be re-worked, so you dont need to turn around. Put the hangers on the side of the runway, instead of the end. But make it so you must roll up and stop for a few seconds, to get your load of bombs. Cant make it too easy! :D I also would love a fix for the BF2 physics, like adding gravity,... but how likely is that... edit: Planes should NOT be the influence they were in FH1, sure they were used for hitting key targets and such, IRL, which is perfectly possible now, as is. But they certainly didnt own everything, like was the case in FH1. So planes are perfectly able to influence battles now, like taking down an 88 or whatever. But there is nothing realistic about planes owning everything, and being constantly overhead.

[quote=Real-BadSeed;4119556edit: Most of the pilots are missing with their bombs, there is no momentum in bf2, NONE, you have to drop them perfectly, directly, over the target. Most pilots are dropping their bombs early. Once people learn to hit the target, things will change.[/quote] Really? I noticed this in the first Airshow release of BF1918, but I thought there was a very small amount. Does this mean I can go into the stratosphere and bomb when I see the recon plane spot a squad? I mean, yes I know there is much less, but NONE? That seems wrong.

The problem with land to reload is there is only one runway, to take off and land. There needs to be a second runway and u-turn for the land to reload to be feasable. And planes do need to have a bigger impact on the battle. Played Mersa Metruh as the brits today and there was a stuka continually bombing and strafing us. However it didn't really manage to be even a annoyance, despite the fact it sometimes would knock out a tank or kill a soldier. Haven't been in a dogfight so thats all I can say about aircraft.

it's not the plane's fault, it's pretty easy to play with planes actually... landing makes planes much less dominating...in FH1 after you died from a stuka attack, you spawn, hop on the other tank, just drive a bit out of base and die again.

you got ground forces mark targets for your plane and spotting isn't that really hard, + you can use freelook to spot enemy tanks.

Off Topic but necessary and related I promise: Guys where do you find screenshots for FH2? They're not in my BF2 screenshot section. Is there a maximum number of screens you can save before it just stops holding them?

I like having to land to re-arm and repair adds more realism and immersion for me.

I like planes the way they are now. My biggest problem is that they don't have momentum, no gravity. Is there really, really no way to simulate(implement) this? because they feel kinda wrong
