I salute the mod developers for FH. They have done outstanding work but why do WW 2 mods keep getting the WRONG Messerschmitt in the game? The Bf 109E, also called the Me 109, should only be present in the earliest stages of WW2 (like the Battle of Britain aerial combat) as that was the correct Bf 109 variant. However: The BF 109G series was the most produced German fighter in the war. Much more powerful engine and heavily armed the, G series had rounded wing tips, did away with the rear wing stabilizers and had a huge propeller spinner! The BG 42 mod that was just released got it wrong again! Its icon states it’s a 109G -it is wrong! The plane actually is the out-dated and out-classed Bf 109 E. It is no big deal to most. But suppose the mods had put the inferior P 40 Warhawk as the allied carrier plane in the Gaudalcanal map, that would be totally wrong. When releasing the next patch please get the correct Bf 109 for the year of combat. If mods do not let the Germans have the Stg 44 semi auto rifle to counter the Russian PPSH because it was not available prior to 1944 or if mods prohibit the King Tiger in Kharkov etc. because it was not the correct year for its introduction then they should not let the Germans have outdated 109E fighters from 1943 to 1945 fighting the superior later models of Spitfires and Mustangs. The Bf 109 has the distinction as being the fighter that downed more enemy planes than any plane in history. It first saw combat in the Spanish Civil war in 1936 and continued as a fighter after WW2 defending Israel, how ironic, in its war for independence in the late 1940’s. It served with Spain until 1967! Over 30,000 Bf 109s of all types were produced. It served as an inceptor, fighter-bomber, night-fighter, ground attack, photo recon, and escort fighter. It was the mount of the greatest aces in history. Super aces like Erich Hartmann, with 352 kills, flew the 109G . Forgotten Hope modders-please put it in prior to releasing the next 0.65 patch. Give the Bf 109G a much deserved place in the next release.Again -"mod " guys-you continue to produce excellent work! I thank you. You are what keeps Battlefield 1942 alive and thriving.

I agree but you should know that the Spitfire faces the same problem that the ME-109 does. Actaully the Spit has it worse with it being parts of a few different Spit models. Mondogenerator knows which ones since I dont remember.

The .65 package has been done for some time now. Nothing new will be added.

Indeed, i haven't seen BF109's yet resembling these......rounded wingtips, longer and sleeker nose, huge nose cone and more details....

Great. I look foward to get in my 109 "Gustav" and take out those nasty Allied bombers (with the added gun pods) or go head to head with the "Spits" on even terms. SALUTE !

Well, it's really not worth all the trouble in my opinion. It barely looks different from a normal stuka.

A Ju-87B is alot different in shape from the Ju-87D.

I would like to see FH redo the Spits and Bf-109's.
