Dee-JaýAbout the SMGs: In my experiance I´m sorting them by effectivenes: -Worst: MP-18, low RoF, low damage, inaccurate, -Sten MP: low RoF, low damage, moderate accuracy -Greasegun: moderate RoF, moderate damage, inaccurate -MP 40: moderate RoF, moderate damage, moderate accuracy -Stg 44: bad RoF, good damage, inaccurate if you fire more than 3 shots -Thompson MP: Imho the best balanced MP ingame, good RoF, good damage, goog accuracy -Ppsh-41: excellent RoF, good damage (even over distance), good accuracy.

I have to correct this a little bit: MP18, MP40, Sten share the same ammo, so they have the same damage. Greasegun and thompson share .45, same damage there too. Sg44 delivers way more damage than any SMG round. About accuracity: All Smgs share the same aimcode, differences are only caused by the different RoFs. (Sg44 is not a SMG in that matter)

Then you have atleast coded the mp18 wrong. The japanese rechambered it to fire 7.63mm, not the original 9mm.

Well, my analasys was obviously entirely subjective and only based on my personal experiance. But when talking about damage, shouldn´t the bullet-velocity also be taken into account ? It just often seems that certain weapons are more inaccurate then others. But as you sayd, thats probably just due to the different RoF. Aynway, I hope you can address the SMGs to the degree nessersary.

With the differend rounds comes a different kickback/recoil in real life , a .45 round fired should make the crosshair spread a bit more than a 9x19Para should .... just my opinion but it would surely add to the realism. I know shit about coding but my basic construct of a Aimcode/ Spreadcode would be based on Weaponweight [the lighter the gun the more comes back to you] , Kickback of a round [k98 has a real nasty kickback in R/L because of relative light weight and a heavy round] and for smg the rate of fire [i dont know how it looks in code but lets say a single-fired 9mm round makes the crosshair spread 2mm then a rapid fire should look like : 1st bullet 2mm 2nd bullet 3mm , 3rd bullet 6mm , 4th bullet 9mm , 5th bullet 12mm (bullet / added spread for this bullet)....... to simulate that full auto fire makes a weapon much harder to control]

KingrudolfWe don't need alternatives. Go back to vanilla.

That was uncalled for. The devs are most likely going to add a PPS-43 sooner or later, but the PPD was rare and expensive and the PPsH was the most common of all of them.

The PPsH works for now, it just needs some adjustment. The only map that could really use the PPS-43 would be a Siege of Leningrad map, since that was when the weapon was both invented and produced. PPS-43 had a fast rate of fire and high muzzle velocity, but only had 35 round mags and still fired the tiny 7.62mm ammo. PPDs were pretty close to PPSH-41s but they were expensive and rare and prone to jamming. Their drum mags had issues as well.
