Is there a trick to the tailgun seat in the b17? Its tough for me to aim it right. It feel cool, like im not just putting my crosshairs on something, but actually looking down the barrel's and trying to find the tracers. But its Far to difficult to follow the tracers. Espec when theres someone on the top gun shooting back. Is there some sort of trick, or am I screwed.

You're screwed:p Serious now, perhaps your gun is not alligned right, in that case just move the gun to the far left of the screen and then to the far right. If it is alligned right, i dont see why you wouldn't be able to hit antything.

Coupled with lag, bullet speed, and both airplane movements, hitting anything with aircraft turrets its REALLY hard. As snotty said, sometimes the gun get's misaligned (espeically if you go into 3rd person). to fix it, basicly just wag it around the screen (i usually go to each corner)

Best wait to shoot down enemy planes is to just hose and hope you hit them. If you have enough gunners, hopefully the pretty lightshow of tracers will scare the enemy away.

The annoying thing for me with the turrets is that I can't hit a damn thing with them but the minute I get behind a bomber in single player, no matter how far away I am or how erratically I am moving, the AI always, always, always hits.

Nothing beats the 20mm on the back of the Betty, i've shot down more planes with that thing than with the guns on every other bombier combined.

THat happens for me a lot. Like in the Stuka gun and the Junkers 88A and He 111. The MG is pointing at one target and the crosshair at other. This happens for me when I´m lagging....

My technique is just to spray in the general direction of the enemy plane. Then wait till you see the hit-indicator and stop at that position and keep firing until it disappears again. Then repeat step 1.

Real men don't need gunners. Just cut the throttle and move so that the guy on your tail is under you. BOMBS AWAY!
